This is what confuses me, how does Rodgers win the MVP but another offensive player wins player of the year? If Rodgers wins the MVP then he should be the player of the year on offense instead of awarding it to a lesser player.

I need to disagree with you on this because I think you are taking an educated guess on the last paragraph because of his past history.

He's had Chad Clifton, the anchor, the starting LT out for most of the season. Marshal Newhouse has been a sieve for his replacement, has been beat a lot. He's had Bryan Buluga out earlier in the season and he was out yesterday and maybe for the rest of the season, starting right tackle. He's had Josh Sitton out for the past 3 or 4 weeks, the starting RG. The only starters that have played every snap is center Scott Wells and LG T. J. Lang.

Has 0 impact of Rodger taking the sack, he would rather avoid it at all cost, but with the makeshift line, very difficult to accomplish.
