Hopefully not. So he can go to the Ravens as their OC.
Yeah... That's not going to happen.

Yep. It's going to be a hell of an off season for the Colts.

Also as of now Jim Caldwell is still the head coach. My guess is the decision on him will be made when Irsay hires a new GM. Sounds like it could go either way.

I'm still curious of the Jim Tressel hiring before the season. Why would you bring in a guy of his pedigree to be a "gameday consultant"?

Re: Coaching Carousel

Hire Peyton as the coach, then draft Luck. Restructure Peyton's deal so the majority of his salary is from his coaching position, instead of counting against the cap.

Re: Coaching Carousel

I see one bad year and the Colts overreact. If I were Polian I'd be livid.

It's not just one bad year. It's one player getting hurt and now you struggle to field a competitive team. Everyone should be gone.

Re: Coaching Carousel

Yeah, that team wasn't much without Peyton, and even with him they struggled to 10 wins last season. Manning bailed out Polian for several seasons, I believe. Manning has made the Colts what they are, nobody else. Guys have come and gone (Marvin Harrison, Edge, Dungy), and the train kept chugging along. Then the conductor had neck surgery and I'm going to stop making stupid little anecdote-type remarks now.

I am SHOCKED by Morris' firing. The team imploded, but... 3 seasons? One of them ahead of schedule (last season). They were bound to come back down to Earth this year, though they crashlanded. (Ugh, again with the stupid humor... I'm sorry). Seems like a kneejerk reaction to me, though I'm not in tune with the day to day of the TB Bucs.

Why isn't Turner gone, yet? I thought it was a foregone conclusion he & GM AJ Smith were going to be out. They didn't make their miracle run so it's not all muddy, pretty cut & dry. Get rid of him, especially with a roster that's seemingly relatively well off and a lot of high profile coaches without jobs who only want to come back to a decently built team. Helllllllo.

If i was a coach i wouldnt want both. If peyton is back to 100% then they are a playoff contending team that just spent their 1st overall pick on a player who wont play a snap all year. Id be worried that I wouldnt be the coach long enough to get to the Andrew Luck era.

No coaching changes announced. Rex said that Schottenheimer will be back if he doesn't get a head coaching job. My guess/hope is that they are just saying that for now so they don't hurt his chances at a head coaching job. Just looking at his body of work should do enough of that.
