His comments were directed mostly at Cam Cameron, then the oline and then Flacco. He answered a question saying Flacco seemed a bit rattled bc of the pressure... more of a compliment to the Texans and a pretty obvious fact. His suggestions were about calling some different plays and wondering if Flacco had the power to make audibles (and everyone knows Cam doesn't let him audible too much). He also said the oline needs to play better and give Flacco more time.

I really don't see the issue with what he said, and again, don't see how this also becomes a huge knock on Flacco. He was asked why he thought the offense struggled and gave an honest answer that makes perfect sense and barely even points a pinkie at the QB.

Yeah my bad. I've listened to a more fuller video of the interview and those were good points he mentioned when being asked those questions.

I initially watched a quick news pitch by the NFL Network just showing only the part where Ed Reed said Joe looked too rattled. The way the media always cuts parts to create a story...

Well I'll go with 24-16 Patriots.

Definitely not your bad at all. The clip they're showing on NFL Network and Mike & Mike is purposely edited to highlight a section to make it seem like he was downing Flacco... and then all the follow up talk is about how Reed's comments on Flacco are horrible. Hell, the clip on SC this morning cut it even more so instead of saying "I don't know if could've checked out of plays..." or something like that, it just seemed like he was saying that's what he should've done.

Here's the entire interview for anyone that wants to judge for themselves... http://siriusxmsports.posterous.com/...am-schein-rich

It's actually one of the best interviews you'll get from a player evaluating his own team. He praised the Pats and Brady and acknowledged that bc of how good they are the entire team needs to play better, including himself and the defense... giving specific examples. There's nothing in there that makes me think he's worried at all about Flacco. He thinks the team needs to play better to win in NE, and if he didn't I'd be worried.

This media spin is why we get all the PC answers from athletes that mean nothing. I love Suggs and like how he through some facts out there to back up his statement but as a football fan, I want to hear Ed's comments more.

Reeding The Offense

Quote Of The Day

Tom Brady: “I love Ed Reed,” he said. “If I could be a defensive player, I’d be Ed Reed – or Ray Lewis – between those two guys.”
Nahhh Reed is not lying. And just reading training camp reports this is something they actually do in camp at one another to raise the level of play. I see this as Reed saying look, we are going to need you guys to play better if we are going to win. We can only do so much. Not to add the fact that they have been doing it for the team for over a decade. The offense has to grow a pair and take command of a damn football game.

IMO...Ed Reed can say whatever he wants to. He is the heart/soul of that team, Ray Lewis is just the vocal leader. Anything Ed Reed says about his football team, concerning play on the field, should be digested and respected.

Actually the heart/soul of the 2011-2012 Ravens is Suggs. Both Ed and Ray have tons of war wounds and still an amount of impact that either one can also say whatever they want but their on the field impact this year has been displayed by the players around them more than the years past.

I'm a Ravens fan and all, but I really hope they go all the way bc I can't imagine Ed coming back next year. This is his last chance.

I agree this is it for Reed. Too many war wounds to continue IMO.
