^True, but he'd probably also want to go where he can at least a fair opportunity at a starting job.

I agree. But lets say Cleveland drafts RGIII. They call on JC to be the "stop-gap" while RGIII gets a little more familier with the playbook or whatever. Cleveland starts fast under Campbell 4-3, 5-2 or whatever. Do they sit him? Probably let him play it out, and hope they can trade him to a team that needs a QB in 2014.

I hate that that is all a bunch of what ifs, but that should be his mindset going into this off-season. The worst thing that could happen is he gets to sit somewhere and make more $$$ for a season or two.

Cleveland already has McCoy and Seneca Wallace, so I don't see why they'd go out and spend money to get Campbell even after they draft a QB.

Taking all other elements out of the equation, Seattle, Washington, maybe Arizona, Miami, Jacksonville (depending on how they feel about Gabbert) would be the only places he could go and compete for a starting gig right away and not just be a placeholder for a young QB. Then again most of those teams have a lot of other issues that bringing in a QB like JC still won't solve to get them over the hump. Of course he can go anywhere and be a solid backup for most teams in the league. In any case I doubt the guy's going to be out of the league completely.

Man if we can bring back Grimes, cut Dunta Robinson and sign Finnegan Id be happy.

Also I know most of the names above would return with their current team but thats still a great group of players that are FA
Looking at this list, I'd love to see the Chargers go after Mario, Nicks or Landry. I know they won't do **** though.

Re: 2012 Free Agency/Offseason Movement Thread

Something to keep an eye on:

According to ProFootballTalk, one of the terms of the new collective bargaining agreement is a reduction in the maximum compensation for restricted free agent movement from a first- and third-round pick to only a first-round pick.

With that in mind, you may see some teams take a hard took at guys like Steelers' WR Mike Wallace, Texans' RB Arian Foster, and Ravens' CB Lardarius Webb, each of whom is both young and also is at-worst a second-tier player at his position (at-best, among the elite few). I wouldn't look for a team with a high draft choice to poach any of these three, but maybe the Patriots take a swing at Mike Wallace, for example.

Yeah that'd be incredible if any of them only got the tender offers from their teams, exposing them like that. Steelers still trying to make room to franchise Wallace I think.

So all signs point to Laron Landry being let go by the Skins. If so, you are more than welcome in NY... for slightly over a million per year that is.

Can you link me to these signs? I will be pissed if Landry is let go, despite his being an *** hole about his injury.
