And I just didn't get that. Watching him in college it was pretty clear that at worst, you had an athletic pass rusher with questionable coverage concerns.

I'm bias because I'm a Penn State fan, but I felt the Cowboys got a steal. I just wanted him to fall to the Vikings so we could 1) have a third linebacker finally and 2) continue to ignore our offensive line and wonder why we suck.

I get the concern though. He played linebacker for two years in his life before being drafted. But it was clear he was special.

I was very unhappy when the Cowboys drafted Parsons lol. I wanted Jaycee Horn. Recall at the time of the draft all the talk about the Cowboys was how their pass defense in 2020 was historically bad.

I thought Parsons would at best be an athletic downhill linebacker who'd be effective as a fifth pass rusher in blitz packages but also would be questionable in coverage. I didn't think he'd help in pass defenses as all because he wasn't good in coverage and didn't show up as an elite edge rusher in college. Basically I saw Jaylon Smith. We already had Jaylon Smith.

Turns out Parsons has a bat-**** insane work ethic, basically learned to play every position in the Cowboys' defense except center-field free safety this season, and was good to awesome at all of them!
