Wow i didn't know it was that serious. Someone like him who has always been told hes too small to play lb. He was great at miami. A quality individual with intangibles coaches love. He was an athletic freak. I hope he can somehow come back an live out his dream

Damn. The inside linebacker pairing of the future in Timmons and Spence looked really promising. Hope the kid can make a comeback.

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012

Merrill Hodges basically just called Tebow a dumb bum on television. I understand that he may not be a QB in the NFL but to basically rip into him (well thats how I took it) like that was uncalled for IMO.

"dumb" as in he isn't smart? If that is the case, it is the from all accounts true. He has never been said to be smart. Most former players won't rip into another player, but the Tebow worshipers just make these guys so mad that they can't control it.

Unrelated, but who do you guys think will be HBO's first choice for hard knocks this year. I would think it would be the SeaChickens. Their secondary and thier mouths are built for HBO.

Merrill Hoge has a big vendetta against Tebow for whatever reason. Not Tebow worshipers making him angry. I don't think the guy has ever said anything good about him even when he did have a decent game.

I even joked that he was going to somehow find a way to blast Tebow when he was announcing the Steelers pick this year. I wasn't the only one who made that joke either.

I might actually find a way to watch it then. Something also tells me they might try a team like the Saints because of what happened to them last year as well.

I don't think the management there seems like the type to allow it. They're like Green Bay West over there.

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012

I would love to see the Saints (obviously) but Payton is too private to do something like that. On the other hand, reporters have said that he has been more open since he's been back so maybe it's possible.
