Old news, he is just going to court this week. It happened last year.

I'm sorry, but that's a bull**** excuse if you ask me. From the sounds of it, that program wasn't even widely used. These guys can all afford to find a ride home. I know it's not what you personally are saying by posting this article, but just because they can't get a "free" ride home does not absolve them of the personal responsibility that we all have when we choose to use alcohol. I'd like to see the numbers before declaring that this is what is contributing to a perceived increase in DUI arrests.

EDIT: It is noted that you responded to a lot of this in a previous post.

Same here. I have driven when I shouldn't have in the past. I count myself lucky that I never hurt my friends or others when I made that choice.

Didn't Britt just have surgery too?

Reports say he was trying to get on an Army base with a female soldier with some other CB from the Titans. He isn't so bright for thinking that was going to work, neither was chick either I guess. She should know soldiers get busted at the gate all the time.

Re: NFL Off Topic 2012

I do have to say that it's sad that we might as well change this thread's title to "NFL Off Season Police Blotter 2012". What a bunch of ungrateful fools some of these players are.

Unbelievable. I thought it was 8 arrests since entering league but maybe I read it wrong. Still pretty sad he makes it look so hard to stay out of trouble.

Still feel that the huge increase this year may have had to do with the new CBA cutting down on the amount of OTAs an these players just don't know what to do with all the extra time.

What's sad is there are players out there that are working hard and studying game film and trying to get better while these knuckleheads screw around.

If they are getting into trouble because the millionaire 20-somethings don't have an assigned hotel and bed time they shouldn't be in the NFL. I just don't buy that line of thinking at all.

Whether they have 2 days or 2 months of OTAs morons will find time to be morons.

Also, as I found when making the same statement that the NFLPA canceled the safe driver program, it actually is still around, just in a different form - http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ut-at-a-price/

There's just no excuse at all, and millions of reasons for it not to happen. Punishment needs to be changed because obviously the current deterrents aren't enough and those who violate those rules need to be processed out of the league.

You can be sure the NFLPA is ready to argue against any changes though in typical red state/blue state fashion.
