The new owner is also a small minority owner of the Squeelers. Conflict of interest? I hope not...

Btw, Haslam is president and CEO of Flying J truckstops. Started by his father. Team sold for 1 billion dollars. Pending league approval..

So far he's saying all the right things about understanding the tradition of the Browns and really seems to wanna turn the franchise around. We'll see..

Oh boy.....if Sonics fans had a dime for every time they heard that one!

Hey, it's still better than Phoenix....where they have trouble selling out the first Cardinals playoff game in 30 years.

Would they really try to move the team? I know Cleveland is no huge booming metropolis but the fan support is great from what I hear.

0% chance.

There is no way the NFL would allow a second team move from an important football market like Cleveland.

Hell, it's not even fair to call it Cleveland anymore. The Browns market is basically northern ohio. It would not be a very smart to move a football team so close to the Football HOF either.

And the new owner just said there is no chance that the Browns move.

Also, to the guy who said he's a minority owner of the Steelers, he has to sell his share before he assumes control of the team.

Just in case you care, tomorrow, Haslam will be approved by the owners and officially take over the franchise.

Joe Banner will probably be introduced shortly after *probably not tomorrow but at some point soon*

Later Holmgren. All the promise and hope when hired, nothing but a total waste of 3 years. Wouldn't do media here (did interviews in Seattle though, for God knows why), wouldn't really discuss things, nor seemed to have any grasp on what to do.

Good riddance.

Yup, new owner officially took over, and Holmgren is out. I see Shurmer next on the chopping block..
