Since both penalties happened after the play ended, shouldn't they have offset, and it resulted in 4th down?

That out of bounds rule is so dumb. Late hits should be enforced the same way any other roughing call is. Instead the defenders have to either be psychic or able to bend matter.

The one on Staley was a dead ball penalty so it was still 3rd down. Though as I said Matthews should've got a penalty as well for unsportsmanlike conduct or whatever for fighting with Staley in addition to the late hit.

Yup,punches are an automatic ejection. Though it appeared there were multiple punches in there and you know they don't call punches on anyone that was on last years Ravens team.
