Have we thrown an rb screen once this season?

Man, Marquise Lee totally made me forget about Robert Woods. Nice draft by the Bills early on.

I would like to see a playaction pass to the RB....I know that kind of play is passe these days but I think it could work well in the Bills playbook.

The slide is still the most effective tool for QBs to protect themselves in the open field while running, it just needs to be used early before any contact can get there so there's no doubt that you are going "down" and it can be called a Penalty if you are hit after the fact.

Hoyer tried to squeeze out as much yardage as he could and by the time a Defender caught up to him it was too late for him to be labeled as a QB going into a slide, because he got hit while going into the slide motion.
yea i think qbs should only slide if they're in the middle of the field with lots of space and a giant linebacker directly ahead. then it's safe.

in any other situation it's safer to just put the shoulder down and man up. trying to slide or dive over by the sidelines is a recipe for disaster because of all the pursuit coming across the field, full-speed...just ask RG3 about that (i know it was a forward dive but he still got massacred by pursuit, just like hoyer did).

Night and day between quarterbacks here, Hoyer was getting whatever he wanted, Weeden can hardly stand up.

browns honestly need to let weeden just operate out of the shotgun all game, like he did at oklahoma state.

letting him play in the gun makes up for his horribly slow dropback and release a little bit. he just looks really bad under center, alot better in the gun.

Oye...This is not a very good defensive series for the Bills right now.

I agree Weeden needs to be in the 90% of the time to be effective.

Oh and Nessler, he's been making a lot of little mistakes calling this game. They're not major but boy has he lost a bit of zip on his fastball so to speak.
