Packers' defense has been pretty bad all season. Though the offense is coming back to full strength, the 49ers have had the Packers' number recently. I'm picking the Niners.

Nah, I disagree, the defense wasn't bad all season. A healthy Rodgers, and the team was 5-2. The defense needed to be on the field longer because of the likes with Senaca Wallace and Scott Tolzien, the Packers offense would be 3 and out.

Once Matthews, Hayward, Perry, Worthy and now Jolly have become injured and out, the defense suffered miserably. The safety play has been atrocious as well.

Defense played much better in the beginning of the season, especially with a healthy Rodgers.

Carlos Rodgers and Eric Wright both may not play and the 49ers may have to rely on Perrish Cox, who's barely staying on an NFL roster.

Nelson and Cobb may have big days. Jones should be left in single coverage too.

49ers are going to be desperate for a pass rush.

Considering how battered both defenses are, I'm expecting quite a shootout. I wonder if Kaepernick can hang...

Easy to point at the beginning of the year and say the defense played well. Hell, most any team in the league would have played well against those offenses. Here are the games:

1) Niners. Packers D was dominated. Niners scored 34.
2) Redskins. A bad team all season and this was RG3's second game back.
3) Bengals. Put up 34 on the Packers.
4) Lions. Calvin Johnson did not play at all. Easy to shut down.
5) Ravens. GB defense did a decent job this game but it was the Ravens.
6) Browns. Brandon Weeden starting. Nuff said.
7) Vikings. Minnesota actually put up 31 points this game.

So yeah, name an average team that wouldnt have looked decent defensively against some of these teams.

1) Your opinion. Was the whole D dominated? The Pass D yes, but GB prepared for Kap and Gore to run ,90 yds rushing on 34 attempts. Less than 3 yds per rush, but yet the D was dominated, and yes, I mean whole D.

4) Still need to shut down Bush, which they did and Staffford.

As noted above, and I stand by it, Packers D was better those first 7 games Rodgers played vs the defense that is playing now. Usually, in a defensive system, the D becomes better as the season goes along.

Rodgers missing 7 games and Matthews and some of the defense missing games has had a helping hand with the defense becoming similar to swiss cheese lately. Matthews and Rodgers are game changers, offenses and defenses scheme against them all week.

This is based on what I've noticed watching the full season of games and one in person.

So yeah, it doesn't matter what's on paper, you still need to play every game.

To answer your question, Cowboys, Bears, Eagles, Patriots, Chiefs, and Chargers. All playoff teams except for Cowboys and Bears. Anything is possible, right?
