Mainly, the Jags are coming off of a bye while Indianapolis comes off a difficult game against the Patriots. The other game in JAX is much earlier in the season, and I think the Jags will not have a great opening section of their season, losing 5 in a row before beating Tennessee for their first win.

For once, the age argument is something you can't really make with the Steelers defense. The only spots where the Steelers are aging is at corner with Ike Taylor and at strong safety with Troy P. If anything I'd be much more concerned with a lack of experience on the d-line with the Steelers. Mike Mitchell is younger than Ryan Clark, who he is replacing. Ryan Shazier is a rookie who will likely start. They no longer have Larry Foote, Will Allen is getting up there but he's likely to be a backup or only play in situations that bring on extra defensive backs and I guess you could say Timmons is getting older but he's only in his 8th year, I'd say he's right in his prime. Unsure how the secondary is getting worse compared to last year. Mitchell should be a huge improvement over Ryan Clark and the rest is the same as last year. Unless you're saying that Ike Taylor is going to somehow play even worse than he did last year.

As long as the 49ers play the Packers in the 1st round of the playoffs I will be happy

But for real 11-5 or 12-4 for the niners with the Seahawks being about the same.

Cardinals and Rams I see getting 8 or 9 wins each also.

Cowboys 8-8.

I agree with Rams and Cards but I don't see the 49ers losing 6 games. I also don't see any team winning this division by 2 games, but A LOT depends on the Lynch situation in Seattle.

Re: 2014 NFL team predictions W-L

Hopefully this the year that we can get a legit draft pick meaning the whol staff of the Giants will have been fired.

But more likely will go 8-8 and tread water some more and somehow Tom will keep his job and blame a coordinator for the whole season. This time being Perry Fewell.
