Learning the game

Ok as the title suggests i really wanna learn the game of american football. At the moment i have very little knowledge of rules, players, positions, plays and well everything haha. So I was hoping someone could post youtube videos or some articles etc that i could watch and read and try to get a good understanding of the game. Thanks

Where are you from? That might help people give comparisons based on region-specific sports. Eg if you are from Oceania, football is somewhat similar to rugby, whereas if you are from South America, or Europe football is 11-a-side, like soccer, etc

Re: Learning the game

One thing that really helped me was playing the video games. It's helped me for every single sport I watch today. Playing the video games lets you try out all sorts of things and then you can get used to the rules, know the players and all sorts of stuff.

Re: Learning the game

If video games has helped you in the past then Madden 15 would likely be a large help. I've played the game for the last 20+ years and the skills trainer in this game is highly informative of passing concepts, defensive reads, how routes affect each other and more.
