He's had more than a few games like this where he has a DIRECT impact on who wins the game. It's unbelievable.

Not impressed with Jay Gruden's offense at all. You were basically preparing for this game since the end of week 3 of the preseason. Very limited vertical passing game. (some of that is Watt) but the three plays where they actually called routes designed to attack vertically they had success in the 3rd quarter prior to the Niles Paul fumble. In a game that for 3 quarters was a one score game, Alfred Morris only getting 14 carries (while averaging 6+ ypc) is asinine. Not enough RBs chipping on Watt for my likes. With Houston sending as much pressure as they were on the last drive why not call a screen?

It was awesome watching JJ Watt play and then turn around and watch Brian Orakpo disappear was equally impressive. I did like that for time that he was in the game Trent Williams didn't let Clowney really disrupt much from the left side.

I suppose if you're a Washington fan you can look at it this way - get rid of the two fumbles inside Houston's 20 and you've got opportunities for 14 more points. Clean up the stupid mistakes going forward and things don't look quite as bad.

Now they are saying a torn meniscus…sucks if he's done without playing a half this year.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but looking at the stats, the defense seems improved. Maybe it was more of Houston being sloppy, I don't know, but that is a positive if they are better. Like you said, take away those 2 fumbles and this game could have gone the other way.

It may be where I followed the game online and wasn't watching, but this was not a frustrating loss. 2 key fumbles and special teams mishaps were the difference. Both are things that can be corrected.

Skins fans, I'm officially worried for the future of RG3. I firmly believe it's him who wants to prove he can stay in the pocket and he's just not that QB. I'd even say "yet" but I think it's clear his confidence isn't really there either but he's stubborn so I'm wondering if he'll ever just go through the development process a smart coach wants to give him to get to that point.
