Can't all be due to the back... pretty big difference in a year.
I think it was Bill Parcells who said (before he left the Cowboys) that Romo was the kind of player who constantly needed to be reigned in by coaching and practice, that he didn't really have the God-given talent to just will his way through things.

To that end, I think Romo's inactivity in preseason may be hurting him as much, if not moreso, than his back is.

Romo being Romo again?

I can't believe the Rams are kicking the Cowboys' arses.

I think it has more to do with the injury than you might think. A lot of throws are rooted in knowledge of and confidence in the ability to make certain throws. Some of his poor reads are due, I think, to him believing he can deliver a ball he is just not as physically capable delivering.

That said, he has always been over-aggressive in his reads (so, the occasional head-scratching, frustratingly bad reads aren't exactly new), so I think that impulsiveness coupled with the current physical limitations have made for just how bad he has looked. This is also why I tend to worry more about his ability to adjust to such limitations than I would with other QBs.

Wasn't really an *** kicking, to it being the Rams playing out of their skulls combined with A Murray miscue forcing the Cowboys out of their offense which turned into an immediate pick 6.

If the Cowboys got any ground game going, (which they did) then this game had a comeback written all over it.

I'll never understand why you hand the ball off 5 yards deep on a "inches" to go.

Tony Romo is looking closer to his old self in this second half.
