Why then are we punishing Lewis for getting to the playoffs an equal amount of time with far inferior personnel?
Because it's been new personnel for 10+ years with the same result.

Not at all.

I'm saying he hasn't had a team that can win a Super Bowl. Winning playoff games is irrelevant.

He's got his team to the playoffs four straight years. Like I said previously, if you get through 16 games and advance that's pretty good. Let alone four years in a row.

Once you get to the playoffs though you aren't just playing anyone, you are playing one of the six best teams in the conference. It's not like the competition is weak.

You guys act like it's easy to get a team to the playoffs four straight years in a row.

If the Bengals want to say we just need a change then fine, but calling Lewis a subpar coach is wrong.

And again. Who do you replace him with?

12 years, huh? Whatever....... 11 or 12 years without a playoff victory and you still have a job?

1. No one is acting like it is easy. No one here is remedial, he has the toughest job out there.
2. No, he is not supbar if you do look at his success of making the playoffs. And I will always argue that if Palmer stayed healthy, they go far.
3. The replacement would be up to whatever direction Brown wanted to take the team. Maybe a proven OC, not like Gase or McDaniels, but maybe Pep Hamilton. But I'm just an observer with an opinion, I don't have all of the answers.

As am I.

Grass is always greener I guess.

Just seems like more team have regretted firing a tenured coach with success than those that haven't.
