I know it isn't the "Football Thing To Do", but with 1st and goal from the 2, I would have liked to see the 49ers take a little time off the clock. Two minutes is too much time in todays offense friendly NFL.

This is the clutch Eli we need. Our defense is an abomination. Eli has to carry us like he did in 2011. That was some damn finish.

Sidenote, Landon Collins is on the cusp of being great, he just misses out on finishing plays. I hope he gets it soon. We need him to finish.

Defense didnt finish AGAIN but the offense did. Eli played a great game outside of about 3 bonehead throws. We gotta do something about this pass defense though.

None of Baalke's redshirt draft picks are doing ****. So the team has no pass rush and they let their starting CBs go to give the starting jobs to guys who can't cover (even Beckham with a hamstring problem), can't tackle, can't catch interceptions.

A sack or two, might have helped the 49ers' cause but they only have Lynch. Because the owner and the GM wanted to "win with class" they cut Aldon Smith for a minor dispute. Looks like the NFL won't suspend Smith nor will he likely face jail time.

49ers offense played well enough to win, not that this season isn't going to be anything but a huge come down.

Oh well, hopefully losses like this just makes it more likely they get rid of these coaches that no other teams want and get rid of the GM who likes to draft only guys who've blown out their ACLs and sign and trade for castoff OLs who got no business playing in the league, let alone starting.

On the last play of the game....When SF was doing the desperation rugby play thing.......I would think they might want to throw in their world class rugby player????

This is exactly why I have no idea what to expect from this team.

I think the Giants let them score. He went in almost untouched.

Man, so happy that the Giants pulled it out. They're a rip-your-heart-out-but-put-it-back-in kind of team. God bless Larry Donnell in the Red Zone, where he doesn't have the space to make a circus catch (though it was a close-run thing).

Whew. 3-2.
