So if people want everything to be reviewable in the last two minutes, are you going to accept it when holding is called on every play? Because we all know there is holding on every play.

Exactly. I'm sorry, I just don't care to have EVERYTHING PERFECT if it means stretching games out to 4 hours long.

wco81, you asked if it's made things better. I don't think that's as clear cut as you make it seem. A lot of rules changes are happening specifically because of the angles and details we see things now. A lot of the argument about the details refs need to be able to recognize in real time is a direct result of these rule changes, that are a direct result in replay and advances in technology.

Calls will never be video game efficient and I'm sorry if I seem like the old guy when I say I'm fine with that.

Well the trend is for all sports to use replays, not avoid them.

NFL isn't going to scrap the replay system it has now.

Maybe one of the reasons they don't want to expand it is that there's no way to monetize it, like it if leads to longer games, they haven't sold the advertising.

Otherwise, it's startling that people are willing to accept poor calls, especially when replays show they're poor calls.

You talking about video game efficient and that's not even a thing. I've lost count of how many times I've been screwed in Madden on a terrible spot, or ridiculous out of bounds catch that was ruled incorrectly or correctly on the field and overturned/not overturned after the replay or no review was even triggered in the first place lol

I don't want replay to go away, but I can't deny it might be better than having the expectations by fans be what they are now.

Huh?

What expectations?

That there aren't blatantly bad calls? Or that if there are, they're corrected?

Is that asking too much?

Talking in circles now. You disagree with me, that's fine... nothing left to say.
