re: XFL Discussion

So that seemed like a decent premier for the AAF. My concern now w/ the XFL is they try and get more spendy w/ coach and player salaries to compete, the AAF folds due to lack of talent and the XFL follows suit because in an effort to directly compete they go down a path that's not sustainable.

I think that's unlikely, but we'll see how things shake out.

Thats what Yee is starting. Alternative to college football where you can play until eligible for the draft. The dates of the article are older but he was just on the radio here talking about the league so he's still trying to get it started.

I don't think there are rules against it as it's a NFL rule. If they want to stick around, they need to do it.

I heard someone talking about it on the radio but there wasn't any real details. The AAF may not do it with their relationship with the NFL, but the XFL should pay some.

re: XFL Discussion

According to Darren Rovell the XFL has the money and plans to woo 2019 NFL rookies to sign with them. In fact, XFL officials have been spotted at the Combine.

EDIT: I jumped the gun as this is for undrafted rookies.

They need to go after college players. If they can get some 3rd year players that want to improve their draft position, they may make themselves watchable. Nothing would be better than seeing players play against former NFL players.

AAF is following the NFL draft rule, the XFL is not. I wouldn't necessarily want to see freshmen but some others in college could play in this league.
