After a 7 hour interview it doesnt sound like McDaniels got the job based on a few guys connected to the browns on Twitter. Lots of disappointment.

Stefanski or Selah look like the guy

With McDaniels history backing out of Indy, and Cleveland not exactly being the most stable place for coaching, this marriage doesn’t appear to be a good fit. I’m not even really sold on McDaniels as such a hot commodity, I wouldn’t put him any higher then guys like Bienemy, Stefanski, even known commodities like Marvin Lewis, Jim Schwartz or Jason Garrett.

Cleveland is a place where you need more then just a coach with some of the turmoil that’s happened with them. I’d want a stabilizing force like a McCarthy or Rivera, who are both off the board. I assume Marvin Lewis wants to bring Hue Jackson with him so that’s probably a no, but that’s the type of coach and figure I’d want to bring some stability and authority to that franchise. Might not be exciting like hiring a mid 30s offensive whiz, which I am a fan of too, but it just feels like a place where you want someone who has led a team and organization before to come in.

I really hope it's Robert Saleh. Knowing the Browns, it'll be Stefanski and we will be looking for another coach within 18 months.
