Sucks that Hurts didn't play, but not a big deal. Besides the first 3 targets, Devonta Smith's route running is legit. Easily gets separation. Should have a good season. One thing is definitely clear is that the top 6-7 D-Lineman has to stay healthy. It's the preseason but the 2nd and 3rd team DL has been overmatched the first 6 quarters so far. No pressure or push at all.

NFL preseason going full college football with the Saturday slate, Bills/Bears in about an hour. I guess Trubisky is gonna see a good bit of time against his former team? Hopefully Fields plays for CHI. Otherwise, I want to see these DL the Bills drafted 1-2. They could be what makes the difference for us this year and last, the extra pressure from the DL.

Nice to see Devin Singletary getting off to a good preseason. The effectiveness at RB was an issue last year, but I think them trying to force Zach Moss in to the role hurt Singletary, who wasn’t great either but I believe delivers more upside. I really don’t like teams giving a guy the ball 20 to 20 and then another dude gets to fail in the red zone. Singletary is small and compact but he’s nicknamed Motor for a reason, let him run!

I know it’s just pre season, but lack of scoring in the first quarter was a huge issue for the Bears last year, now they’ve been held scoreless in the first quarter of two pre season games while Trubisky has led two scoring drives against them today. Fields or not, this offense will never flourish under Nagy
