Re: Week 2 Discussion Thread

My week 2 overreaction to 2 games: the Broncos and Panthers, who passed on a first round QB in favor of starting Bridgewater and Darnold and drafting a CB each, are 2-0 and those guys have played pretty well.

I thought the conditions were pretty ripe for success (mostly for Bridgewater), but to have Fields or Jones fall to you as a gift and to go for a CB felt like a mistake. It may still be. But so far so good. And Surtain even picked off a pass for DEN. But hey, Fields and Jones both got their first W too.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet. You may be right, but lighting up the Lions doesn't provide any evidence whatsoever that anyone is anything other than a minimally competent NFL quarterback. I'm not sure the Lions could beat Cass Tech high school at this point.

It's only been 2 games, so I think we're still in the "nobody knows anything" phase of the season. The only sure thing is that the Lions are losers. Always have been, always will be.
