Week 13 Discussion Thread

Coming up on the final 5-6 weeks of this long season.

This week opens up with Dallas visiting New Orleans on TNF and closing out with 49ers-Seahawks and Pats-Bills on SNF and MNF respectively.

Edit: Broncos-Chiefs is your SNF game, not 49ers-Saints.

I can't find a practice report for the Bills this week, typically that is released on Wednesday. Is it delayed because they're on MNF, or am I just missing it?

Re: Week 13 Discussion Thread

Packers are on bye so these are my (mostly fantasy-related) thoughts:

The Zeke-Pollard situation will be interesting to see play out. There's one of two outcomes: 1) Zeke gets his normal allotment, or 2) Pollard gets 20 touches for 100 yards, but Zeke gets 10 for 25 and 2 goal-line TDs.

If the Rams don't totally steamroll Jacksonville at home, are they officially a non-factor in the NFC playoffs?

Their early hole (especially the London loss) might be too much for Miami to overcome, but I've been pretty impressed with them as of late, and they get the Glennon-Giants and the Wilson-Jets the next two weeks so they could easily be 7-7. The schedule gets harder after that, though.

Mahomes, who despite the Chiefs' win streak has been stifled by the two-high shell, faces Vic Fangio, a prominent user (I don't want to say originator because I don't know if that's accurate, but I've seen it said) of the scheme. Can't imagine that goes well for KC unless something clicked over the bye. They'll still probably win though, I just don't think Denver's passing attack has enough juice.

Bills/Patriots on MNF is fascinating to me for obvious reasons.

I think that may be it. I don’t see anything either.

Man, the Pats are gonna try to run down our throats. Or maybe test our CB’s with Tre White out for the season? I DON’T KNOW. It’ll be nice to have our best LB’s together again (Edmunds & Milano) and after that dressing down by Taylor & the Colts I imagine we won’t be getting gashed again even against a really good rushing attack. Cool this game is on MNF, because it’s a monster game for both teams. We’re both trying to topple each other for supremacy of the division and to be honest, it’s really awesome this rivalry can get back to being competitive. I’d love for NE/BUF to be mentioned in the same breath as PIT/BAL, some of the nasty NFC West matchups, and Cowboys versus anybody. Lol

Looking forward to tonight’s game. Cowboys in danger of getting snuck by WFT or Philly, and the Saints have scuffled without Jameis. Taysom will get his turn tonight. That’s the spark I think the Saints need. He’s been hurt so it makes sense why Siemian got a couple starts but even if Hill isn’t a great passer, he does enough other special things that he’s still a pretty good option — especially as a backup. I was surprised to see he completed 72% of his passes last year. Saints have been stuck in neutral and crushed with injury, this could be a major turning point or the beginning of a sinking ship.

Re: Week 13 Discussion Thread

Need a get right game tonight. Taysom worries me slightly but only slightly. If we play our game and execute, we should win by 7-10.
