Re: Your fondest NHL memories

Felix Potvin dragging his career out of the dustbin of NHL history and going from a waiver wire pick up to leading the Kings past the Wings in the 1st round and then going 7 against the Avs.

Getting to see 2 of my favorite NHL players ever, Pavel Bure and Sandis Ozolinsh play for the Panthers, even though in the case of Ozo it was fleeting.

Getting tickets in the 3rd row in the corner to see the Panthers play the Rangers on November 3rd 2001. Lindros (1g 1a), Messier (1a), Fleury (1g), and Leetch for the Rangers and Pavel Bure in all his half crippled but still better than 99% of the league in terms of scoring glory had 2 goals and Peter Worrell threw down with Dale Purinton. The best part of the entire game was seeing Lindros (who's one of my all time favs) get completely obliterated against the boards right infront of me to the point where I thought he was dead by either Worrell or Laus. You don't realize how incredibly loud and violent sounding it is watching it on TV.

Re: Your fondest NHL memories

I'm saddened by what could have been for Pavel Bure. He was fantastic.

Re: Your fondest NHL memories

Yzerman lifting the Cup in '97 and his game-winning, game 7 goal in the '96 playoffs against the Blues.

Other noteables are:

- Lemieux's fantastic goals - Undressing Bourque and then the Stars defense, to score 2 of the nicest goals ever.
- Probert-McSorley.
- Pavel Bure's GW against the Flames in 94

You can say that again. He almost scored back-to-back 60-goal seasons during the heart of the dead-puck era.

IMO, only Lemeiux was a better pure goal scorer than Bure. He could get 50 playing with PeeWee's.

Yeah I was not into hockey then, but I like that guy a lot. Wasn't he called the Russian Missle or Jet? He was fast. He just got married not too long ago. That guy was strong too.
