I think Wenger's strategy could pay off if the team develops together and, being young, has years and years of dominance. The problem is that it only works if guys stay with the team. You can't have guys like Hleb and Flamini leave. I'll make a baseball comparison to the Tampa Bay Rays. They are going to trot out the same team next year. They are young, dominant, and their young stars stay with the team. There comes a point in time where you have to have developed. After years and years of developing with no results, you just plain stink. If before next season no one leaves and Wenger adds a few pieces, fine. But if more players leave, Wenger needs to rethink his strategy and start splashing the cash.

excellent point unfortunatly Wenger is fixated on not buying ready made players and giving youth a chance, I hope as do we all that im wrong and 2 senior squad players come in

What makes you think when looking at Arsene's history, that he will actually keep all the young players he has now?

I'll take the draw given the circumstances with Cesc getting hurt and Adebayor getting sent off. I'm glad Wenger brought on Eboue at the end and that the crowd cheered for him. It's a good confidence booster for him.

I think that has a lot more to do with the players leaving the system rather than Arsene just magically knowing when every player has reached their peak as a player.

What a bogus send-off, to. And given the way Arsenal played, if they weren't down to ten, I think they might have won.

really well to the two big names from recent times Viera and Henry everyone said it was a disaster and yet neither player has much if anything left

Viera has playd 50 odd games in 3 seasons in Italy
Henry had a terrrible season last year and in the 4 games ive seen of there's this year hes been solid even though barca are winning every game by about 14 goals

Overmars is the only player thats really gone off and done anything and Anelka is the only player that forced his way out(maybe Diarra but he always said hed be playing for Madrid))

The worry is how long Cesc stays before a £40 million bid from Barca arrives in the post?

but as ever Wenger will find another one another world class player from somewhere odds are he's on the team already Vela, Ramsey Diaby? who knows
