Great post on Arseblog today about how stupid it is for the official site to bill dubbing the return of Cesc, Rosicky, and Eduardo as being "like new signings."

The offical site writers should realize that at this point, nothing will soften the blow of not signing anyone, so we better get Arshavin.

Yup it looks as though they're already gearing up to put the spin control when Arsene once again sits on his *** during the transfer period.

I'm going to be a man of my word on my decision to quit supporting Arsenal. Unlike when I say I'm going to quit supporting the Bengals. I've only been supporting Arsenal for a year and a half as I spent my first two years searching for the right team. So they will be easier to end my allegience to than the Bengals who I've been supporting for 16 years.

Hopefully Arsene gets off his *** and makes a signing so I won't have to once again become a free agent fan. But I just can't support whats going on at this club right now.

Wow, harsh words ZM... As for the official site, that's the type of crap that keeps me away. Not that it's only Arsenal's site that does it, as most team-affiliated ones are pretty weak when it comes to content.

I think the point of not being in touch with the fan base was great (may have been from Gunnerblog which ran a similar story). Touting injured players as 'new signings' is bad enough, but when those injured players won't be returning any time soon... gimme a break.

I've just become so freaking frustrated with this team. Most notably Wenger's stubborness. He talks about phillosophy this, phillosphy that. Bottom line is his phillosophy hasn't won jack crap for the last 5 years.

He talks about us having this great side and all. Fact of the matter is, this all mighty great side he has assemble has maybe 4 players that could see the field for a team like Man United.

Fabregas and Clichy definitely. Nasri and Ade would probably be spot starters. And he still stands put while every other team in the premier league spends money. Teams that I know are in a lot worst shape than we are finacially. Thats just unacceptable imo.

I can understand your frustration but one thing that bothers me is their lack of depth on their team. Arsenal needs to fix this, you always need alternatives for your starters. I was really surprise that Wenger started the season with such a paper thin midfield, Cesc, Denilson, Ramsey, Diaby, and Song may be good players in their own way but they playing them together is not working very well. I will say this was the first year I have seen Cesc play so out of his style I dont even recognize him sometimes. He needs a holding defender really badly, Xabi Alonso and him would make a perfect fit in the midfield and any type of scrappy midfielder. I really feel just signing Arshavin will NOT be enough, he would be an ok signing but I feel Arsenal needs at least another good signing too.

could not agree more!!

Arsharvin is a complete waste of money- not because he's a crap player, he's not he's very good (not as good as most people think though) he's a copy of what we already have and does nt fix any of the holes in the team

we are a wonderful team to watch, ive watched and been to Arsenal for almost 25 years and i would bet you any sum of money that no one on this board would support Arsenal if we were playing under George "secret agent" Graham. God it was souless crap to watch you used to prey Arsenal did nt score in the first 10 mins or the ball would nt cross the half way line again

But old George could lock up a game like no one else and sometimes (not often) I miss seeing a gritty 1-0 win. I cant get comfy and enjoy the game unless we have a 3 goal lead and less than 2 mins of injury time left

So BUY A BALLWINNER DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER, anyone will do anyone who's played in the EPL who's tough gritty no nonsense, comitted, agressive passionate hardworking and does nt have the desire to ride 4 tackles and perform a back flick on the edge of the area. Someone who just wants to protect the back four

Why is it difficult because Wenger want a Viera or Petit who's all of the above plus a great passer can score and contribute in other ways. So while he searches we get diaby/Denilson or Song trying to be a defensive midfielder which none of them can do.

At this point id even accept Joey Barton and I was happy to see him hang 2 months ago

There has got to be better players on the bench than Diaby. He is absolute rubbish. I have never seen anyone give up possession like he does. Give Ramsey a shot, he can't be any worse.

Three more points... I was already thinking about my "[bleep] this [bleep]" post after Hull equalized, but thankfully the team finally seemed to give a [bleep] in the last 10 minutes or so. Too bad Villa took care of business as well, but I guess there's far too many games left to be scoreboard watching now...
