Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***

Bendtner hit the post first, then hit the keeper's arm/shoulder with the second attempt, but yeah, it was brutal. Thankfully it was 2-0 at the time...

I have to agree that they look a different team today. Vela (why hasn't AW used him more on the left? much better than playing Denilson/Diaby/Eboue out wide) and Nasri look dangerous on the flanks, while Bendtner & Eduardo are finding openings in the box. I know it's Cardiff, but they've struggled to create chances against 'weaker' teams most of the season, so it's still encouraging. Just think, Arshavin & Walcott will soon be in the mix as well...

John Champion also said that Cesc will be ready in about 3 or 4 weeks during today's game.

Well that was refreshing! Even Bendtner looked somewhat threatening today, aside from his occasionally clumsy touches. Hopefully they can carry it over against Sunderland this weekend to get a vital three points...

Aside from some blown chances on goal, that was one of Nick's finer games. He made some very good runs and released Nasri and Sagna on quite a few occasions. Not to mention his release of RVP for the last Gunner goal. I think just about everyone played pretty well today aside from Alex Song and even he didn't play as crappy as usual. Aside from that giveaway at midfield that led to the Bothroyd shot on goal.

What can you say about Eduardo. I just about jumped out of my seat on his last shot. I thought he had the hat trick. No doubt he was the MOTM.

Is it gay that I got teary-eyed when Eduardo scored his first goal?

I'm so glad he's back.

Yeah, he was clearly MOTM. As ecstatic as I am about the game, they should have beaten Cardiff in the first place, and that is the type of domination a club like Arsenal should show.

Eduardo proved he's ready to be with the first team, and though the announcers said the injury must be weighing on him, he showed no signs of it. If he can play like this, then maybe Ade's slump won't matter that much.
