That’s more like it. Could’ve been 6 or 7, and outside being asleep in the first minute, Bournemouth were rarely even out of their own half all match. Keita looked a lot more loose, and the midfield is so much better when Gini plays.

Re: **You'll Never walk Alone...Official Liverpool Football Club Thread**

fab keita gini is our best midfield going forward for the time being

I loved seeing that combo.. that was a world class performance from that midfield vs bournemouth and I want to see more of that. It's great to see Keita start getting in to form. something happened to him in that 2nd half vs West Ham.. that was his breakout. I saw him wanting to take over the game and then he followed up that with best performance in a red shirt. good to see.. I think he continues on this path and is going to be a key player down the stretch much like Ox was in the 2nd half of last season We will stick with 4- 3- 3 against Bayern and keita will continue to start ..

what a keeper! the best in the league!

Oh, Keita will definitely start against Bayern. Out of pure necessity. Unfortunately, Fabinho is going to have to play in defense in the first leg against Bayern alongside Matip.

I agree that's the best midfield going forward, but Klopp really trusts Hendo and Milner. They will continue to get minutes as well. Eventually VVD will be made captain as Hendo takes a lesser role though. Not sure it will happen until after next year.

yeah.. you would think that but just maybe Klopp will start Hendo at CB along side Matip because he was going to start there not to long ago but got pulled last minute. Klopp may chose not to mess with Fab in the middle since he is doing well at the moment in his position sniffing out counter attacks before they start. I think there is a chance he might choose to play hendo at CB along side matip. Hopefully Lovren is ready to play last minute

I think Lovren went back to Croatia to get "special treatment". I'm not holding my breath.

I think what you'll see no matter who starts is us protecting the back line a bit at the expense of getting the midfield involved as much in attack like against Bournemouth. Bayern has been very open to goals on the counter this season. I think we'll be looking to get Salah and Mane in behind quickly when we get the ball.

Are you guys happy or upset at the result yesterday?

On one hand you want to beat one of the worst Bayern teams in the last 10yrs but on the other hand you kept a clean sheet with a makeshift CB pairing and in-general, created the much better chances.

Just curious to see what the temperature is on Merseyside red.

Before the match started, if you'd offered me a nil/nil draw, I'd have jumped on it in a heartbeat, but we outplayed them from start to finish. We should have come away with AT LEAST a goal or two. So, somewhat disappointed, but to not have Virg and keep them from sneaking one in? I'll take it. Bonus that Kimmich misses the next match, too.
