That doesn't really change the overall lack of investment, nor the club's operating procedure which is to be 100% self-sustaining. Based on reports, our actual spend with incoming/outgoing and the measure of deferred payments was around 40-50m, which is our typical spending, even if it looks larger through payments. You can decide to not care about deferred payments, but it pretty much shows that not much has changed in terms of squad investment.

Either way, that still has no bearing on the fact that you can't make me care about Europa League results, if we do well, great, if we don't, it's not something that's gonna get me worked up. Y'all can have a grand ole time with teasing and making fun of Arsenal cause it's what you do, but your energy would be better spent making fun of us when we eventually lose to Sheffield United at home.

I'll handle that much easier than another away loss to Southampton.

But yeah, Europe today!

Lampard took a few kids out of the starting eleven for tonight—hopefully, so they have time to rest for the weekend. I'm being serious, I hope he sticks with some of the younger players and I have no doubt that Giroud will play himself out of the team if he gets too many chances.

I actually am interested to watch Chelsea this year to see how Lampard does, and not interested in an I can't wait to laugh kind of way.

I could care less about deferred payments but tbh, you guys aren’t alone in and it makes sense financially given these crazy transfer fees these days. When I dropped that I didn’t mean it as an insult but more as a smart investment. I think you guys have been making good signings the past 3-4 windows but you’re a few windows behind catching the Top 2 (same with Chelsea but I think our windows have kinda sucked lately, especially knowing that we were going to face some kind of punishment although not to extent we received).

Um, Chelsea. I don’t think that’s how he spells his name.

VVD is having trouble with Giroud of all people?

Fouls him every time he touches the ball.

Also lmao Klopps face every time a Liverpool player randomly kicks it out of bounds. I've been waiting for him to shout "AUGUST IS TOO LATE TO PLAY LIKE THIS" the whole time.

We are absolutely all over Liverpool which means they are about to get the game winner.

You're lucky it's still 1-1. VVD shot it right at Kepa with half the net wide open.

Not looking forward to another 30 minutes. Someone please score.
