Gran Turismo or Forza?

I'm not a huge sim racing fan. I'm basically looking for whichever has the most cars. I'm not huge into customization, but it has to be there on some level. Which one is the most fun?

Honestly both are very good. If your going next Gen then go Forza 5. If your staying current gen pick up Gran Turismo 6. If you want to pick between Forza 4 and GT 5. Then go Forza 4. IMO its got better graphics. Also GT 5 didnt model all in car interiors. Also Forza has a better career mode. In GT 5 you basiclly upgrade your car to max and go race. In Forza the career mode limits you to a stricter class. IMO.

But if you can hold out till December then I would get GT 6 on PS3 or If you are getting a Xbox One I would go with Forza 5.

Neither are true sims, IMHO. You have to head over to PC gaming for that (rFactor, NR 2003, iRacing, GSC 2013, etc.).

Also Forza Horizons might be a good one for you.

It seems that any "fun" that is found in GT is found by those looking for a sim experience. Because the career mode set up is not fun, the sense of speed is not fun, the AI is not fun, the sounds are not fun, and the extremely limited customization is not fun. Nor is the racing fun. However sim heads will say that the "driving" is fun, the tuning is fun, and the car collecting is fun.

If you're looking for fun, go Forza 4 or Horizons. But if you are looking for the most cars, go GT5.

Agree. Forza Horizon is like having your best friend's big sister take you into the deep end when your not old enough.

Both are great. I would lean towards Forza.

Honestly if you have both systems and cash is not an issue I would buy both

Somebody mentioned Forza Horizon and I think you should go with Horizon. I came over to Gran Turismo 5 from Midnight Club LA and Grid 1 and while GT5 is a beautiful looking game and I like the driving physics, it's fun factor can be quite dull at times. I haven't played a Forza game but from the youtube videos Forza Horizon seems like fun and probably would've been my next racing game after MCLA but I have a PS3
