It's not all about ratings. I think people get too caught up in A potential, B potential, this rating or that rating. Really it boils down to whether a guy fits your system and style of play/playcalling., Mattray is balling right now and Lumpkin is a big reason why. Any question about the draft and whether it was a good pick seems moot now. 3-0 drowns out most other arguments and any reasoning that this player or that player would have been better is all speculation at this point.

Agreed.

Lumpkin has monster attributes. His speed and coverage ratings were better than at least 3 of my CBs last year!

And what's more, he's producing.

Wow! I'm neutral in this argument, but those are great stats for three games. I'll have to keep an eye out for Lumpkin when we play in a couple weeks!

He beat NO. My roster is dripping with talent, and I could only split the series with Tomb.

And no matter who you play, three straight wins in this league is no small accomplishment. Anyone can beat anyone for the most part. I'm sure nobody saw OAK coming out of the gate so fast this year.
