Do you still break out past Madden games?

I'm all about 10, 11, 12, and 13 lately. But still spend more of my time with 17. But amazingly how well those games still hold up. Even 10. That Sam Spence Soundtrack is still the best IMO.

I agree. 12 was dang good. 10 was special to me because all the legends were available to put on a team or into free agency right off the bat. No unlocking or anything .I could have Tony Dorsett starting for my cleveland Browns on my franchise. I liked having that ability. After 10, they made the legends a lot harder to utilize.

I actually really liked 13, and would play it if I had more time. That was the only madden with actual physics and no canned animations. I loved it. But, for some reason, something in the coding, something in that version was buggy with animations that u MUST adjust sliders to see more animations. As an example. I cranked catch slider to 80, and suddenly I saw one handed catches and sideline catches. At default 50, I never saw these. So, seriously, 13 was actually a great game WITH the appropriate sliders.

that's good to know, did you use any specific sliders you found online or just tinkered? If you don't mind me asking what you changed I'd like to try them too.

Never. I'll probably uninstall Madden 17 today and never look back.

Yeah every so often I dust off my old PS2 (yeah I kept it, just for one game), and break out my Madden 06. It's sad how many unbroken aspects of the old Maddens got "fixed" out of the game.

I actually liked 06 better than 05 because it ironed out any of the franchise bugs, and it had the first and best version of Superstar Mode (before it went through the "streamlining" process).

I only break out madden 95 and 97. I don't get nostalgic for anything that came after. I will play NCAA 14 and HC09 weekly.
