Microsoft E3 2018 Discussion

I figured with E3 about a month away and rumors and tidbits leaking that a thread should be started.

June 10th

I been a fan of Microsoft for years but even I have played my Xbox One less and less and unless I see something I fear I may not keep it any longer.

Microsoft has got to have a good showing and has got to show off Halo 6. Hopefully some new IP's that launch it into another level with the X's power.

Im seeing if they say anything about Halo 6 being Games for Windows because that might make my decision to get rid of my Xbox easier.

Halo 6?? Mehhhh, I wouldn't even care if they showed it. Give me something new. Show me a new Perfect Dark and a bunch of new stuff then I'll get excited.

Kinda wanted to go to this, maybe next year. MS is increasingly involving the public in E3 events.

Re: Microsoft E3 2018 Discussion

I was thinking about what to expect this year and was wondering if MS could somehow incorporate Windows gaming with Xbox. The One X is powerful, but is that it? Could it somehow handle PC gaming?

In what way would you want them to do this? I feel like the only way they get more PC-centric is if they enter into a partnership w/ Valve to run the Xbox Store on both PC and the console (since I doubt they'd let themselves be acquired). Let Steam manage game distribution and MS can keep their store for apps and productivity.

Streaming PC to Xbox could maybe be a thing, but not very exciting to me personally. Marketplace is the big issue w/ installing games on Xbox, which is why I mentioned the Steam bit.

With how they keep pushing the "games as a service" idea, I wouldn't be all that surprised if they did something like this. I've gotten the vibes that they want something like this since they started the play anywhere thing, which I don't have an issue with, it's just not particularly appealing to me.
