Re: Microsoft E3 2018 Discussion

Only thing I cared about was the new Gears of War 5 and new Halo. Those 2 series is the only reason I even own an Xbox.

Re: Microsoft E3 2018 Discussion

I'll probably post this alot in every E3 thread, but I'm really disappointed with Sports Gaming options today (compared to the past).

All we got from MS was Forza Horizon 4 (which I am grateful for) and a new skating game, which based on the trailer, it was hard to tell when it's expected to come out or what kind of game it's going to be.

Rough time to be a Sports Gamer for sure.

That Gears 5 trailer was fire! I like the more natural look. Looks like there's more of a story element as well.

I enjoyed the conference and I liked that they acquired 4 studios which will hopefully turn out some good games when the next Xbox launches.

I was happy with the conference, thought it was good. Games I’m interested in are Forza, Gears, Cyberpunk, Captain Spirit, KH3, and Fallout.

My comment in another forum is that it looks like a Gears game made by Naughty Dog.

Re: Microsoft E3 2018 Discussion

Wow. Must admit that Spencer and Microsoft lost me a year ago but they just gained me back. Very excited for the future of Xbox.

An overall excellent conference. Biggest surprise was Microsoft acquiring Ninja Theory. That was a shock. Knew about the Santa Monica/San Diego studio, Playground and Undead. Compulsion Games was a surprise as well.

Exclusives wise, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Gears Tactics and Gears of War 5 are guaranteed buys. Halo Infinite and Battletoads are 50/50. Forza Horizon 4 looks amazing and the changing seasons is spectacular but im not really into racing games. If I play this, it will be via Game Pass.

Multi-platform wise, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Metro Exodus, The Division 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Dying Light 2 and Just Cause 4 are guaranteed buys. Cyberpunk 2077 is 50/50 as I want to see actual gameplay and combat system. Expecting to see that next year as I believe this game is May 2020. Battlefield V is also 50/50.

Compared to 2017 where I had almost nothing that interested me, 2018 impressed me and increased my confidence in Spencer/Microsoft/Xbox.

My only complaint would be that the Indie montage went too fast. Couldn't even see the names of half the games. Oh well.

My rant is at Metro Exodus (Deep Silver/THQ Nordic). February 22nd, 2019. The same day as Anthem and my number one game, Days Gone. Like seriously? Do none of these publishers realize that there's 12 months and 52 weeks in a year??? Come on man. SMH. Oh, and The Division 2 three weeks later.

I really enjoyed this conference. Great to see MS invest in 1st-party studios. Crackdown 3 looked much better, graphically. Great 3rd-party stuff. I'll be subbing to gamepass this fall, in time for FH4. I need put some money away for a 4K TV, because my X1X is going to get a lot of use.
