That's awful.

I just don't like how there's a lot of things we don't see in real-life wrestling when it comes to gameplay. There's no test of strength or things like that to start matches (I think one of the later PS2 SvR games had this), no desperation moves that lead to both wrestlers being down and out, and the selling of moves is on the level of a 12 year old wrestling with his buddies.

And then of course I already mentioned how dumb the AI is and the pin issue I just don't understand how it could get through testing.

Even though this is a really negative post, the game isn't completely terrible. The customization, graphics, presentation and controls are all good IMO. There's also a good amount of modes and matches. My issues are just mostly inside the ring, which makes all the other good points of the game basically irrelevant if I can't enjoy the actual game itself.

Hopefully SvR 2012 really puts in work with the core gameplay and touches up the Universe mode, because I actually think they aren't that far off from being a really great wrestling game.

Yeah, online is very bad. Every created wrestler and even some modded superstars have the HHH knee. They need to lock this move for the next game and make it exclusive to HHH. I've seen guys that use the Big Show have him doing this. Or big 7 foot CAW's doing the HHH knee. Terrible. They can make this into something great, but as of right now things are just insanely out of control.

As much as I've ripped this game and called for changes, there hasn't been a test of strength to start a match since...uhh...umm....hmm...I believe it was Goldberg vs. Brock at Wrestlemania 20. So 2004.

Doesn't really matter as long as there's people hacking finishers as normal moves.

Yeah this is true. They messed it up by not putting some control in place. I remember one match this one guy had Stone Cold Stunner for his created wrestler as a normal move and did it repeatedly. Pretty lame.

LOL, I have seen it all. There is also a blackout glitch where guys cause the entire screen just to go black. Ridiculous THQ. Clean this up for the next Smackdown game or you will lose me as a customer.

Playing online is the most frustrating experience ever in a video game. It doesn't help that the reversal button is really laggy.

Re: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 Impressions

quick question for those of you with the game.....
can you play 2 player in wwe universe? in other words, if me and a buddy want to play head 2 head, could we use wwe universe to set matches/control story lines for us?
thanks for any info
