Here’s WWE’s recap up to this year’s WM. We can catch you up on April-July later, but I’d at least watch this to get the story.

Re: WWE Off-Topic

An interesting note from SD this week at MSG.

Apparently an idea thrown out there for future MSG events is to make the stage smaller so you can have more fans at the show (this past week's show set WWE at MSG records).

I wonder if they'd try the old MSG tunnel for a future show.

As cool as their giant stage looks in person, it only stands out to the live crowd, you don't really get to take in the stage the same way on TV.

Maybe they could try to simplify future stages where it's really just the big screen and entrance way so you could actually have more fans sitting behind the stage for PLEs (and major Raw/SDs like if it's at MSG, or during major PLE weekends with multiple arena shows).

As simplistic as their stadium show entrance area has been, I hated the L shaped look of the ramp. If it's a more direct walkout mixed in with a big screen, that would probably work out the best.

Maybe a smaller version of their last Thunderdome stage? As cool as the old MSG entrance was, we know any new WWE entrance is going to have LED screens in some way.

I think that tunnel is gone as of a remodel a few years ago. I think it'd be more along the lines of what we saw at Money in the Bank (which I think looks a lot better than their normal set).

The only issue with stages like that and even some of those PLE stadium ones are you won't get any pyros because fans are so much closer to the stage.

Speaking of which, it's really been 2 years since the Thunderdome era was over!? Feels so weird looking back on that video and remembering that's how shows used to look.

Re: WWE Off-Topic

WWE could easily scale back the massive CGI/LED boards and be fine. Now that they actually have some talent and storylines that are over, all that extra nonsense feels like even more of a distraction.

Did you dislike the Undertaker or Kurt Angle's entrances from back in the day?

Cause I would hate for WWE to "scale back'" and go away from pyro plus all the extra stuff. The 'augmented reality' CGI I could do without but pyro and all the "pomp & circumstance" is what separates them from everyone else.

I get that everything that is modern-day isn't for you. I think they just need to strike a better balance without losing what makes them WWE.
