We've heard stories about both sides not getting someone. There's writers brought in who have never watched WWE and know nothing about it suddenly trying to write a character. Or Vince sees someone but has no idea what their character is (I think Wyatt/Wyatt Family are a "recent" example).

It's hard for someone, especially someone who isn't an actor, to play a character they don't understand or believe in, and that's what so many people have done over the years. And if they don't believe in the character and/or people writing don't, the fans won't either.

Deal or No Deal Island features someone they're partially billing as a former WWE Superstar.

Alexis Lete. Not a name even NXT fans will remember.

She was a pageant person who had no knowledge or interest in wrestling, walked in to WWE for a tryout, somehow got hired, never competed in NXT, didn't even know anyone's names or nicknames (apparently called Shawn Michaels "APK" and future tribal chief Solo "Sikoma" and seemingly run out of the locker room where even Roxanne Perez indirectly/publicly commented saying she's glad about that move) and only wanted to be there to use WWE as a stepping stone to get on TV.

Not that bullying/running someone out of the locker room is a good thing, but it's interesting how she still tries using that as a claim that she was a WWE superstar given she wasn't even one, and not one anyone seemingly liked.

From watching the first episode of that show, it's funny how she reminds me so much of the Kiana James character (though the character was created before she even got to the PC).
