Re: WWE Off-Topic

Vince randomly at a Knicks game (sitting court side rather than just getting a box), and of course they'll show him on TV.

And then bill him as "former wrestling promoter".

It's still just so crazy to think how much he's fallen popularity wise among people. Obviously doesn't matter to him, he got to cash out billions because of it, but just 5 years ago seeing Vince at a sporting event and you'd probably have anyone there who's a wrestling fan probably stopping by to say hi or something at least or have it feel like a big deal.

Now, he's not on the Bill Cosby level of fall from grace, especially if the lawsuits go a certain way, but this really just feels like a shell of a man.

Edit-Apparently Shane was there too and NOT sitting near Vince

Re: WWE Off-Topic

WWE has pulled Alexa Bliss from WWE World autograph signings.

She went from away for a while to suddenly back, to doing stuff for a few weeks, then gone again, now not part of WM weekend at all?

She obviously would've been one of the more popular people for photo ops for both kids....and adults.

On the flip side, people are saying thats the reason she's not in it, perhaps it was her choice because of the fans. Probably also a lot different a feeling being around those kinds of fans now vs a few years ago now that she's married and has a kid.

Re: WWE Off-Topic

New report suggests that the WWE will be returning to the Intuit Dome in LA for Money In The Bank. The event will take place in early June, so this goes along with the report that San Diego is scheduled for Survivor Series in November. California getting two major shows only a few months apart is wild. If Money In The Bank is in LA, there's only one man who should win the Men's Briefcase this year.....

With everybody saying, LA KNIGHT.... YEAH!

Re: WWE Off-Topic

So I have a question.... The hate between Rollins and Punk, is that legit? Or are they actual buddies and it's just part of the storyline?

Same goes for Rollins and Reigns?

Rollins and Reigns I'm sure are still friends.

Not close like during the Shield days since they're not teaming anymore and both have their own families now, but I'm sure they still are on good terms.

Rollins and Punk, I'm just guessing too, but I could see it as a whole "we're not friends, but we know how to work together/make money".

That has to be something Punk knew/accepted going in as well. Returning to WWE would only be worth it if he's able to stay professional and work with anyone, even if they don't like him, as long as they can get along and make money then everyone wins.

Re: WWE Off-Topic

This week on LFG the coaches were showing the talent their main TV debut matches and were analyzing it.

Whats crazy to me watching that is how outside of Mickies debut, every other debut (Bubba in ECW, Undertaker at SS, Booker in Harlem Heat) happened before most or all of the talent there were even born!

So unless they're huge wrestling fans, which many people WWE recruit are either not fans, or just not longtime fans, these talent have probably never seen those clips before.

But speaking on the talent, Elijah Holyfield obviously has the look and name value to his character. He might not have any wrestling experience, but being only 27 and having a football background (and maybe learning a thing or two from his dad on fighting), he could have some potential in WWE. Maybe his peak is a Bron Breakker/Goldberg kind of skillset, but that would still be good for him.

He's only listed as 5'10 225lbs but looks a lot bigger than that (and WWE probably bumps him up to 6ft 230lbs or something)

And I don't get how they don't see Mickie as a coach (she's not returning for S2). She seems like she'd be great in a producer/trainer role.

I caught a little of the second episode? Whichever one had teams assigned to the coaches. They spent all this time on the episode establishing that one student doing a really generic cocky reality TV heel character didn't get along with Bubba but he still might end up randomly drawn to Bubba's team? Wow, what drama! I've seen enough reality TV to know how they edit things, but it felt really forced even for a wrestling show and turned it off when they went to commercial on that.

I just assume he wound up on the team, eventually won Bubba over, and now they're cool.
