Re: WWE Off-Topic

WWE's vice grip on the market protects them from every direct competitor in the wrestling world. The new company buying away top talent from WWE alone would put them in the red. They would need to find tour venues, find television, find an audience, find a paying audience, and pay so many other people. I dont think a big shot will just pop out of the blue going right at WWE's neck. It would just end massive failure. WWE's brand recognition alone destroys any competition.

Yeah I feel like the WWE now is just way too established to allow real competition. Obviously they had been around when WCW started, but it wasn't as nationwide with television, social media, etc.

Not that I want it to happen, plus I know the level of loyalty to WWE is very high for a lot of these guys. But money talks, and if you paid a guy enough, he'd walk. Just a thought.

It's insanely difficult to make money in wrestling. A smart guy like Cuban wouldn't piss his money away to try it.

Re: WWE Off-Topic

WCW was already an established entity when Turner's money came into play. They didn't buy Flair, Rhodes, and Sting from WWE, and Luger, Savage, Hogan, and the Outsiders probably don't go over there if it isn't already established, regardless of the money.

I mean, plenty of them made it clear that it was about the money (guaranteed contracts and light workload) . And WCW wasn't exactly kicking doors down with ratings at the time, either. They had #MillionsOfDollars and maybe more importantly, TV time.

Need some billionaire TV mogul to go to Paul Heyman and say "here's some money, here's some guaranteed TV time...build me a promotion."

Re: WWE Off-Topic

Watching Summerslam 99 and the promo video for the HHH/Stone Cold/Mankind title match makes me think that their needs to be more number one contender matches.
