Re: WWE Off-Topic

Why did Kurt Angle go to and re-sign with TNA instead of WWE? When I stopped watching Angle was consistently a big name guy and usually in the title picture.

Kurt wanted to be a part time wrestler and WWE responded with asking him to be a full time wrestler, knowing that was exactly what would make him not want to come back.

Re: WWE Off-Topic

Angle has said that he wants to come back, but that was before he signed his most recent contact with TNA in Dec, which he said would be his last in the business. He gave the impression that he hasn't talked business with the WWE in years.

WWE really dropped the ball on Kurt Angle. He could have put on some damn good matches.

A thing we also often hear is legends say they would love to work a match with Angle but that is about it; and we know how much WWE loves bringing legends back.

Kurt could have been one of the biggest legends of the industry. He still is to some, but not to ******s.

I'm pretty sure the rumor was the complete opposite.

Angle wanted to wrestle full-time and Vince didn't feel comfortable with his neck issues of letting him do it.

How exactly did they drop the ball on Angle?

When Angle left WWE, he was a trainwreck. Addicted to pain killers and the health of his neck was in question. With Eddie's death still fresh in everybody's minds Vince didn't want to have the company linked to another wrestler's death and there was concern that Angle was going to end up dying in the ring at some point.

Yeah, he really hurt his legacy going to TNA. And I think he knows it.

When it comes to combing in-ring skill and being genuinely funny on the mic and backstage, he really was one of the best. His backstage skits with Brock, when both were still extremely green in the business, were so good. You just don't see two young guys carry segments like that anymore.

By the time Brock and Angle had anything to do with one another, Angle was a huge star and had been on the main roster for over 3 years. He wasn't green.
