Interesting

2 people they're uncomfortable working with?

Doudrop and Nikki? They faced those 2 just a week ago, maybe that had a part to do with it?

And is that them giving up being tag champs?

WWE never acknowledges backstage stuff unless it's a work. It's like all that Charlotte/Becky drama WWE took advantage of leading up to Survivor Series last year. Punk walked out and they didn't put out a statement like this. This smells like a work, Naomi left but Jimmy stayed back? Going to be interesting if we ever find out the real truth of what caused this.

Assuming this isn't a work, Jimmy had a decision to make. Keep his place in the biggest storyline in wrestling, or leave with his wife in support. Looks like he decided to keep making money. And that's probably the right choice because if he leaves they both could get fired and there goes the money. Or Jimmy can stay and make at least half of their income. Much better than nothing.

She may have even told him to stay even if he wanted to show his support by leaving too.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown May Thread

RAW has actually been a good show in recent weeks. Sure you have some duds here and there but I've been enjoying it lately, including tonight. That cage match with Omos/Lashley was fun, you can tell the crowd is really into Bobby Lashley as a Face, the creative finish with Lashley being thrown through the cage was a great way to protect Omos.

I'm assuming we are heading toward a Mixed Tag Match with Judgement Day & Styles/Balor/Liv, very interesting that Edge offered AJ specifically a spot to join the group. Not really sure where they are heading with another match between Cody & Seth, seems pointless if you ask me. WWE continues with this bad habit of forcing rematches when it's not necessary and there's enough talent for Cody to face, he doesn't need another match with Seth.

As for the main event and whatever was supposed to happen. Putting out a statement? Never saw a statement when Punk walked in 2014, so it's telling WWE put out a statement, as if they are trying to get ahead of something that might come out. The match itself was advertised as a 6 Pack Challenge, ok Sasha & Naomi leave and now Nikki and Doudrop are off the show?

WWE said in a statement they were disappointed they couldn't put on the advertised main event of a 6 Pack challenge. So you lose two superstars... replace them. Alexa & Sonya had a match, Dana, Tamina and Carmella were all apart of the 24/7 skit. Liv was just outside the ring for Styles/Balor's match, could have put her in it with Rhea costing her the match.

Put Dana & Tamina in there and have the 24/7 shenanigans cost them. Their reliance on using the same superstars over and over is what costs them when things like this happens. WWE put themselves in a lose lose situation at Hell In A Cell, Asuka loses her first Championship Match after her return or Bianca loses to a returning Asuka. Overall, enjoyed the show but it's going to be overshadowed by this Sasha/Naomi walkout.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown May Thread

Sean Ross Sapp posted an update...... someone screenshot it but yeah this whole thing is weird. Then there's a guy who apparently is a close friend of Naomi telling everyone what happened, it's getting crazy on Twitter.

Update from SRS:

Friend of Naomi... long thread:

Well this is getting insane. They should just drop the women's tag belts. Nothing of substance has come from them.

If that's how it really played out then I understand their desire to have actual stories around the belts and how that can be frustrating. But I still don't know if walking out was the right move for their career's. The grass isn't always greener, but we'll see.

From what I am seeing it's about 50/50 for people saying they did the right thing, and people saying they didn't. I'm not sure really, I can see both sides of the argument. In the end, what does it really accomplish? Twitter support? Because it can't be good for them. There are fates worse than being fired in WWE.

This is gonna be the talk of the wrestling world for a while.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown May Thread

So Naomi was gonna win the 6 pack challenge and lose to Bianca, while Sasha would wind up in a match with Rousey and lose that one.

Meaning their only plan for the womens tag champs were to compete in singles matches and lose.

This is where I agree with Sasha and Naomi walking out. I get it, Charlotte is taking time off to get married, Bayley isn't back yet, so Ronda needs a challenger where SD is quite thin at the moment. There's plenty of talent on RAW in the Women's division where you don't need to sacrifice one half of your tag champs to Bianca.

Seems like Sasha and Naomi wanted to legitimize the tag division and build it while the company has no interest in it. Reports are neither Sasha or Naomi are booked tonight on Smackdown and both have contracts expiring soon.
