Well the broomstick did fight back hahaha, but what they did didn't count towards the overall grade. So let's say the CPU goes for a pin artmept but you kick out at 2, you'll get an increase on the match rating bar for "heighten drama" but if you did the same pin attempt to the CPU and they kicked out at 2, there would be no affect on the meter.

Looks like the fighting outside of the ring video only shows Reigns getting the rating for doing moves. I hope they fix that for cpu vs cpu.

Chance that the gameplay was taken from career mode, the only mode that used it last year.

The only reason I'm going to disagree is because all of the gameplay we have seen so far has had the match rating system in it. Unless 2k has allowed us to pick any character on the roster and use them in MyCareer it may be safe to say they have extended it out of just MyCareer which is a welcome addition.
