I do a mix. Each card is a mix of my own matches and promos, and automatic matches and stories.

My beef with the auto booking is that it typically just books the same 2 guys against each other every week until the PPV. That is for rivalries anyways. The non rivalry booking typically does a pretty good job of mixing up opponents within their division, until a feud creates and then the stories and cut scenes drive the booking.

But, I do at least enjoy having that element of cut scenes and story event sequences, so I do still use the rivalry and auto booking system as well as my own custom booking.

I have not had that issue, no. The only issues I've had in Universe Mode are:

-Run ins either not happening when I schedule them, or attacking the wrong guy. (I now no longer record matches with run ins in case that happens)

-One issue with Money In The Bank, where it removed the briefcase from the holder. I didn't notice it for a couple weeks in game time - I was trying to do mid match cash ins that weren't working. I later came to find out it was because the holder was removed, and I'm not sure why.

-I had one night where the game crashed on me a couple times after matches had ended, so I had to end up simulating them when I got back in game.

Question for Reed, and all my other Universe writers who post their Universe Modes...

Are you keeping the events of your shows and storylines within the confines of what actually happens in Universe Mode? Or do you supplement it with extra stuff as well?

Obviously, with some promo stuff, there aren't options for having office or locker room confrontations backstage, so those promo write ups are supplements.

But what about the in ring stuff? Are you guys getting that stuff to happen via run ins and storylines? Or are you supplementing it with your own writing also?

I know some of the YouTube Universe series don't stick to the confines of Universe Mode, and record events from exhibition matches, 2 controller controls, etc. I'm just wondering how guys here are doing it.

For the most part, I keep mine within the confines of Universe Mode, with storyline writeups to explain the narrative of the matches and events. For promos, I supplement that since the in game promos are pretty basic. So I write up my own promos and use the in game promos as just an in game stand in.

I also use the match creator to design some custom match types that could also represent in ring promos and confrontations.

But I would say mine is entirely within the confines of Universe Mode, with some slight house rules for creative freedom.

Yeah for me I mostly add in my own stuff but use the confines of Universe mode. So if a cutscene happens (depending on what it is) I'll use it and add extra if I choose to.

I'll make custom matches for things if I want something different as well. Since the game can only do so much it's up to us to supplement things.

The promos I write up but I have the in game one going in the background while I type that way just in case I get a good line from it I can use it if I'm drawing a blank haha!
