    Read the review.

The review focused on gameplay, not simming. If you want to sim, buy OOTP. This review focused on the game as intended - where you actually play the game.

And if you think we're afraid of EA .... you haven't been around long. We're always accused my people of being fanboys for one game or another. We're HH fanboys, or Sega fanboys, or Xbox fanboys, ow whatever ....

Point is, we don't give a damn who the publisher or developer is. We like good games. And if you're not rtying to play Amateur QA, MVP is a heck of a good game.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Simming is not part of the game!? Maybe mine is specail, but i am able to sim lots of seasons, 120 is the exact number if im not mistaken. Why wasnt this in the review? Why didnt it state the problem? If the review was of the game shouldnt this have been in there?

If the review was just of gameplay, then the review should have said "We are just reviewig gameply, not any other aspect of the game."

Admit it, the reviewer missed this, or declined to mention it in the review, which was a mistake either way, because it is obviously a flaw that will stop people from buying a game, which is why people read reviews, to help them decide if they should or should not buy the game.

How is it in their best interest? None of you are planning on returning the game, so they aren't losing any money. The majority of the people who buy this game will never even notice the problem, so it's not like they will be getting a bad reputation for this problem.

They'll fix the problem, in next years game, just like every single company does or attempts to do.

BTW - I bought the game on both platforms, and decided to stick with the Xbox version. I sold my PS2 copy for $44.95, losing a whole $5 on the deal.

That's not what I wanted. I wanted a great playing baseball game with a great franchise mode. All the previews and early reviews promised me exactly that. But, what I got was a great playing baseball game with a broken, useless franchise mode.

To their credit, the player progression flaw is well hidden and I can see how OS could easily miss it. Those saying their bending over for EA are really jumping to conclusions and probably haven't even read OS' review.

Nonetheless, if people want to be vocal in their complaints, they should, by all means. This is a very large issue for some gamers (such as myself), and nothing is going to be done about it unless EA understands that fixing it will be in their best interest.

realize when you say 'previews and early reviews promised you that' that EA had absolutely nothing to do with these.

My advise for those of you who this will greatly impact their life, is to wait a week after a game comes out. You can read up on post release reviews, or even rent the game. Geez, people make this seem like they bought a $30,000 car and it's a lemon. It's just a video game, rent it before buying it, if these are such pressing concerns. People don't buy cars without test driving them, maybe some people just shouldn't buy a game without playing it first...

"If you don't want us to believe that you are not EA Fanboys, then act like it, and don't bemoan anyone with an opinion, or solution that maybe negative towards EA. That, or find some half way competent reviewers. It is a shame that this site can get advanced copies, yet quality sites cannot.

OK - here's your new review.

" I loved the game - every aspect. The on-the-field gameplay was the best I've experienced. Graphics, sound are uniformly fantastic.

However, when simming multiple seasons with little to no human interaction, players don't develop into stars, and some teams start to carry too many pitchers.

Therefore I give it a 1/10. I'm calling my lawyer, EA!!!!!!"
