6-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH:
The Dudley Boyz & Test vs. The APA & Spike Dudley
The match opens up with Faarooq quickly takes the reverse Dudley Death Drop and D-Von gets in his twist flying elbow. Faarooq manages to get back into things as D-Von walks into a spinebuster. Test pounds on Faarooq in retaliation, but the APA double-team him. Bradshaw gets caught in the Alliance corner, but no-sells and DDTs D-Von for two. Spike comes in with a small package for two. Bubba drops him on the top rope in dramatic fashion. Test gets a spinebuster and D-Von gets a table. Test tries to slam Spike through the table, but Spike falls back for two. Dudleyz flapjack him for two. D-Von goes up and misses, hot tag Bradshaw. The APA cleans house, leaving Bradshaw and Test. Powerbomb for Test gets two. Spike tries the Acid Drop on Test, but Test javelins him through the table outside! Bradshaw hits the Clothesline from Hell, and Shane-O-Mac makes an appearance, clocking Bradshaw with a chair and giving Test the pin!

Spoiler

~ Meanwhile, Shawn Stasiack gets chewed out by Stephanie, and decides to once again do something memorable, including changing his tights. He looks down and says, “I don’t even KNOW what ‘mecca’ means!”.

ONE ON ONE - TITLE UNIFICATION MATCH:
X-Pac© vs. Tajiri©
The two men trade wristlockery to start, and Tajiri gets a standing moonsault for two. X-Pac rides him down, Tajiri responds in kind. Tajiri gets a rana, X-Pac bails, and Tajiri follows with a nice quebrada. X-Pac posts him low and kicks him in the back while he’s hanging there, for good measure. Back in, X-Pac spinkick gets two. Into the bow-and-arrow, but X-Pac’s shoulders are down for two. X-Pac powerbomb gets two. Broncobuster misses, and Tajiri kicks him in the corner and comes back with the handspring elbow for two. Tarantula and he goes up, but X-Pac reverses a bodypress for two. X-Pac goes up and lands in a weird pinning combo, but Tajiri catapults him into the turnbuckle and gets a german suplex for two. Tajiri gets dumped and X-Pac follows with a somersault plancha. Back in, Tajiri tries the handspring again, but X-Pac ducks it and gets the X-Factor for two. Albert lumbers out as X-Pac spinkicks Tajiri, but when he jumps onto the apron Tajiri mists him…and walks into the X-Factor for the pin.

Spoiler

ONE ON ONE MATCH:
Chris Jericho vs. Rhyno w/Stephanie McMahon
Slugfest is won by Rhyno, and he grabs a headlock. Jericho crossbodies him and unleashes a quick flurry of strikes. Rhyno tosses him, but he comes back in with a shot off the top for two. Walls of Jericho are blocked, but Rhyno bails and gets hit with the springboard dropkick. He goes up, but Steph’s giant mammaries distract him and block out half the ringlights, allowing Rhyno to GOAR GOAR GOAR Jericho on the way down to the floor. Back in, it gets two. Rhyno goes with a body-scissors and AIRPLANE SPIN! We hit the chinlock, and Jericho fights out and gets a rollup for two. Rhynoplex and he goes up, but misses a splash. Jericho backslide gets two, and he comes back. A lionsault gets two. Rhyno misses a blind charge and Jericho goes up, and manages to connect with a missile dropkick for another two. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is distracting the ref, so Jericho heads over and kisses her! Enziguri and another Lionsault gets two, but Rhyno comes back with a spinebuster and Walls of Rhyno! Jericho makes the ropes and Rhyno preps for the GOAR GOAR GOAR, but misses shoulder into the corner and Jericho with a roll up, finishes with a Rhynotamer!

Spoiler

ONE ON ONE MATCH - INTERCONTINENTAL:
Lance Storm© vs. Edge
Once again, Lance’s opening promo is interrupted by offbeat shenanigans. Mat stuff to start, and Edge gets a flapjack and dumps him. They head out and brawl, and back in Edge goes up with a flying bodypress for two. Storm reverses a suplex and tosses him, as Edge takes the railing bump. Back in, Edge eats knee and Storm gets two. Edge cradle gets two. Storm gets a front suplex. Storm starts working the ribs, as Edge comes back but misses a dropkick. Inside cradle gets two for Edge, but Storm comes back and pins him for two. They slug it out and Edge goes for a crucifix, reversed by Storm to a rolling fireman’s carry for two. Back to the ribs, and a senton gets two. Edge fights back, but walks into an abdominal stretch, in one of the very few instances where it’s actually a sound move given the psychology. Edge hiptosses Storm out of the ring to escape, but Storm goes up…and gets powerslammed on the way down. Double KO and they slug it out, which Edge wins. Backdrop and heel kick get two. Storm suplex is reversed to the Edge-O-Matic for two. Edge blocks a rana with a powerbomb for two. Storm slaps on the Canadian Mapleleaf, however, and things are looking bleak. Edge makes the ropes and hooks his own half-crab, however. Christian decides to run in, spears Edge by mistake, and Storm gets…two. Thought that might be it. Superkick is blocked, and the Impaler!

Spoiler

~ Meanwhile, Christian gets a call from gramma…and gets blown off in favor of Edge.

TAG TEAM MATCH - UNIFICATION TAG CHAMPIONSHIPS CAGE MATCH:
The Brother's of Destruction© vs. DDP & Scott Steiner©
Scott Steiner and DDP start off strong, and throw Kane and Undertaker into the cage. They then double-team Undertaker as Kane is hurting by the cage. They bust Undertaker wide open after repeated blows into the cage. Scott Steiner then hits his belly-to-belly suplex on Taker, while Kane gets back into this. Kane would hit a few uppercuts on DDP, before hitting a fallaway slam on Steiner. The brothers are both up, and dismantle Steiner and DDP in a pure pissed off view. Undertaker no-sells a clothesline from DDP and more carnage follows as he repeatedly throws Page into the cage busting him open. Steiner gets chokeslammed by Kane, and DDT gets pole-vaulted into the cage by Undertaker. Steiner finally manages a spinebuster on Kane and DDP Diamond Cutters Undertaker. They climb, but The Brother's of Destruction both sit up. Undertaker grabs DDP and tells Kane to let Steiner get out. Steiner is hesitant, but ultimately just bails. So it’s 2-on-1, and they just absolutely destroy DDP, giving him almost no offense. Finally, Undertaker just tells Page to get the hell out and don’t come back, but even then changes his mind, chokeslams him from the cage to the mat, and finishes with the Last Ride to unify the titles...Steiner is on his knees on the outside saying, "What did I do?"

Spoiler

ONE ON ONE MATCH - wCw UNITED STATES:
Booker T© vs. The Big Show
Booker T kicks at Big Show away to start, but Show counters and slams Booker T to the mat. Big Show tosses him around and pounds away with chops, and punches. Booker T then connects with a sort-of enzuigiri, but he walks into a clothesline. Big Show dumps him and fends off a chair attack, but eventually Booker T makes Big Show hit the post. They brawl by the announce table and Show eats monitor shot to the skull, which sets up a Scissors Kick that puts him through the table! Booker T is trying to get The Big Show back inside the ring, but the 500lb beast is not budging, Booker T even goes in and back out of the ring to break the count. He wants this pinfall win. Big Show seemingly, easily, is put back into the ring. Booker T enters, put Big Show slaps his massive hand on Booker T's throat and delivers a Chokeslam!

Spoiler

~ Backstage we see Shane McMahon freaking out that Booker T just lost a wCw Championship to the WWF, and they lost the IC title earlier, and also the tag team championships...he has no idea what to do.

ONE ON ONE MATCH - wCw Championship
Ric Flair© w/Shane McMahon vs. The Rock
Rock slugs away and chases Shane, allowing Flair to catch him coming back in. Rock gets a Samoan drop for two, but walks into a kneelift. Ric Flair unloads with chops, but Rock lays the smackdown. La Majistral gets two. Good lord, Rocky. Flair hits the side chop drop for two, and they slug it out again. Flair gets bumped, and they brawl until Rock goes low, pissing off Paul Heyman. Flair crotches Rock on the railing and they head into the crowd. Wicked clothesline from the Dirties Player in the Game. He sends Rock back to the ringside and preps the announce table, then tosses him into the ringpost while Shane loosens a turnbuckle. Back in, Rock fights back but walks into a spinebuster for two. Short-arm clothesline and kneedrop, but Rock fights back…and gets hit with the forearm for two. Flair hits the chinlock, into the surfboard. Rock escapes and hooks the Sharpshooter, but Shane distracts the ref. Rock chases and gets kicked in the head for two. Rock gets a clothesline and catapults Flair into that loose turnbuckle and a DDT gets two. Shane gives the bloody Flair a chair and then lays out Rock with the WCW title while the ref removes said chair. The APA come out and lay out Shane in revenge for earlier in the night. ROCK BOTTOM BY FLAIR…gets two. Rock comes back with the flying lariat and overhead belly to belly for two. Spinebuster sets up the People’s Elbow, but Shane pulls out the ref. Rock gives Shane Rock Bottom and heads back in. Flair gets a spinebuster, no cover, but he is attempting the Figure Four! The Rock reverses it, but runs into a chop putting him onto the ground. Ric Flair does his strut, but he turns around into a Rock Bottom!

Spoiler

ONE ON ONE MATCH - LADDER HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP:
Jeff Hardy© vs. Rob Van Dam
Matwork to start establishes parity. They trade kicks and Jeff legdrops him low, and Rob backs off. Jeff gets dumped, but hiptosses Rob out and follows with a corkscrew plancha. He comes off the top and hits railing, allowing RVD to get the guillotine legdrop and grab the ladder. Jeff meets with the railrunner and brings the ladder in himself, but takes it in the jaw. Rob straddles the ladder to pick it up, and takes it in the crotch. Double-jump moonsault on the ladder follows, but a blind charge misses and Rob hangs him in the Tree of Woe and does bad stuff to him. Rob puts Jeff on the ladder and somersaults across the ring onto it, and then spinkicks and superkicks Jeff to set up another guillotine legdrop, this time onto the ladder. Rob showboats outside and turns around to meet the ladder face-first, buying Jeff some time. Jeff climbs but gets dropkicked off. A cartwheel splash onto the ladder kills Jeff. He climbs, but gets dropkicked and falls off, wiping out both guys. Jeff DDTs him and goes up, but misses the swanton. Five star frog splash also misses. Jeff climbs again, RVD follows, and superplexes Jeff off the ladder. Rob goes back up, Jeff follows, and powerbombs him off the ladder. Jeff climbs again and grabs the belt, but Rob yanks the ladder away, leaving him swinging there. Missile dropkick fails to dislodge him, but Jeff eventually falls anyway, without the belt. Jeff goes back up, but Rob pushes him over (and hurt Jeff’s leg on the ropes from the looks of things), climbs up himself, and regains the title.

Spoiler

~ Shane McMahon is backstage talking to Goldberg and Sting. He says that these final two matches could wash away the night if they both pick up these huge wins. Goldberg says to Sting, "Hold my beer."

ONE ON ONE MATCH:
Goldberg vs. Kurt Angle
Fight on the floor to start, and Goldberg whales on Angle. Into the ring, Angle takes him down and they pound on each other like schoolkids fighting over a girl. Angle stomps a mudhole, but makes a crucial tactical error by not walking it dry, and Goldberg gets his own shots in. Angle clothesline and bodyblock get two, however. He puts his head down and gets caught, and Goldberg works on the knee. Stepover toehold is countered with the anklelock, but Goldberg makes the ropes. Outside now, Goldberg hits a clothesline and they head in, where Goldberg dumps him again to soften up the ankle. Back in, a triple suplex gets two, but Angle comes back and gets seven german suplexes. Angle Slam is blocked, and Goldberg sends him to the turnbuckle. Goldberg is really getting tested here in likely his longest match ever. Bill puts him on top, but Angle blocks a superplex. Goldberg keeps wearing him down and gets it on the second try. Good psychology there. SPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE!…Gets two. Another one!.. And Angle goes flying out of the ring on the rebound. Bill viciously posts him, drawing blood as promised on RAW. Goldberg slugs him down for two, then tosses him back out and back to that post again. Angle finally sends Bill into the crowd, but Austin suplexes him on the concrete. As Goldberg climbs back in, however, Angle catches the anklelock, then drags him into the ring by the foot and keeps it on until Bill makes the ropes. Goldberg bails as Angle bleeds all over the place. Belly to belly on the floor turns the tide for Angle, and a backdrop suplex there helps. Back in, Angle hits the Anglesault for two. Goldberg grabs a Million Dollar Dream, but Angle shows awesome psychology by using the Bret Hart Counter from Survivor Series 96 for two, which Goldberg then counters by rolling out of it and maintaining the sleeperhold. Angle dumps him to break, but Bill sneaks back in, SPEAR! For another two count, Angle is not quitting, and Bill has no idea what to do. The crowd has a heart attack as they have no idea how Angle is surviving. Angle crawls up, blocks a Jackhammer attempt, and gets the Angle Slam for the double KO. Angle crawls over for two. Anklelock, but Bill is in the ropes, but just in case he decks the ref. DDT from Angle, but a second ref counts two. Goldberg takes that ref out. Third ref in, third ref out. Angle Slam, no ref. Nick Patrick runs down! Angle tells him to leave but turns around into a FOURTH SPEAR! Jackhammer!

Spoiler

ONE ON ONE MATCH - WWF CHAMPIONSHIP:
Stone Cold Steve Austin© vs. Sting
Austin jumps the bell to a thunderous pop and fires away on Sting. Austin tries to use the belt, but Sting ducks and starts laying some massive punches. Austin counters a whip with the Thesz press, and he drops some FU elbows. Sting counter comes back with a swinging neckbreaker and looks for the Death Drop. Austin elbows out and goes for the Stunner, but Sting shoves off and tries for a Stunner of his own. That gets countered, and Austin sends Sting flying over the top rope to the floor. They battle through the crowd and back to the ringside area. They trade shots with the announce table, and Austin seizes control once they head back in the ring. Sting gets placed on the top rope and Austin brings him down the hard way with a superplex for a two count. Austin looks to take advantage of the no DQ rule, that apparently has been added, and takes the cover off the buckle. This gives Sting a chance to get back in the fight as he tosses Austin across the ring. He gets to his feet but staggers near the ropes and Sting sends him over the top to the floor with a clothesline. They head right back to the announce table, and Austin gets his heads bounced off it and the timekeeper’s table as well. Hebnar tries to restore order, and he gets shoved by Sting. That gives Austin the opening he needs as he blasts Sting with the ring bell. The bell shot draws a few trickles of blood from Sting’s forehead. That’s apparently not enough blood for Austin as he does everything he can to open the cut up even more. Heyman and JR’s announce table gets destroyed in the chaos, and back in the ring Austin starts firing off right hands. Austin goes to a blatant choke and for reason Hebnar tries to stop him. Sting tries to fight back as the crowd boos, but Austin remains in control as he hits his own swinging neckbreaker. Sting’s carcass gets caught in the corner and we get some high quality mud-hole stomping. The ref keeps trying to enforce power that he really doesn’t have in this match and it’s only serving to piss off Austin. Scratch that as it gives Sting another opening to get in some shots to regain some momentum. Sting lets Austin know he is #1 before sending him into the exposed buckle in the corner. With Austin a bloody mess Sting heads to the floor to grab the same ring bell that split him open earlier. Austin, already a bloody mess from getting rammed into the exposed steel, gets creamed with the ring bell. Now he is pouring blood from his head as the crowd is on the verge of heart failure. They head right back to the floor, and Austin is back in his element. He makes his comeback and drops Sting across the guard barrier. He follows that by catapulting Sting head first into the ring post. Sting took that like a champ. More hatred and violence as Austin uses a nearby monitor to open Sting up even more. This whole time Heyman and JR have been questioning who made the no DQ ruling. They make their way back in the ring and Austin tries to Stunner, but Sting turns that into a Scorpion Deathlock. Now we get the deconstruction of the Stone Cold character. We hit WM 13 first where Austin would not submit, and instead passed out from the pain. Here, Austin takes the maybe harder way out by crawling to the bottom rope to get a break (in a no DQ match?). It works though and Austin gets enough of an advantage to lock in his own sharpshooter. Sting doesn’t head for the ropes though at first though and powers out of the hold. Austin is a vindictive bastard though and reapplies the hold next to the ropes. That’s an easy escape for Sting though as the ropes are right there. Next we hit up Survivor Series 1996 as Austin breaks the Million Dollar Dream, and like in 96, Sting uses Hart’s counter to get a pinning sequence (Twice in one night, and back to back matches!). Back in 1996 Austin didn’t care about winning the match and maintained the hold to punish Hart. In this case the win is everything to Austin and he breaks the hold to make sure he still has a chance to win. Sting damn near causes a riot as he gets a two count off his own version of the Stunner. Vince McMahon starts power walking to the ring as both men are a bloody mess in the ring. ERIC BISHOFF FROM BEHIND WITH A CHAIR LAYS OUT VINCE! Both men stagger to their feet, Sting charges, but gets planted with a spinebuster for two. With each two count Austin gets more and more pissed. That starts to become his downfall as it gives Sting a chance to regroup and he hits his own spinebuster. High elbow drop follows, but Stone Cold hits The Stunner out of nowhere! He goes for the cover, but Bishoff pulls Stone Cold off of Sting! Stone Cold chases Bishoff, and runs right into a Fallaway slam from Sting, but it only gets a hot two count. Austin looks for the Stunner, but Sting shoves off again, and Hebnar gets knocked out of the ring. Sting takes that opening as a chance to kick Austin in his Brahma bulls. Bishoff and Sting team up to blast Austin with a chair! Bishoff puts Hebnar back in the ring, but Austin is able to kick out at two. Sting goes for the chair again, but Austin catches him with the Stone Cold Stunner. Once again Bishoff detains the ref, so Austin starts kicking his ***. He turns right around and Sting gives him the mother off all Stunners, but again it only gets two. The look on Sting’s face was priceless after that one. Vince is getting back up, and is marching down to the ring, but now Shane McMahon from behind taking out his dad! Shane is beating the living hell out of Vince on the ramp! Bishoff hands Sting the chair, and Austin gets absolutely creamed, but again he kicks out at two. The visuals and the reaction of the crowd during this stretch is absolutely amazing. Now Sting goes crazy with the Bishoff endorsed chair and wails on Austin until he is a quivering mass. Finally that’s enough to get the pin and the WWF Title...

DAMN, WWF dominated WCW in this PPV throughout, but I WCW got the last laugh taking the WWF World Championship.

And the Stasiak thing was a big funny.

WWF:
Got back the IC title
Unified Tag Championship
Captured United States
Tamed Rhyno
Captured WCW Championship

Alliance:
Won the 6-man tag
Captured Hardcore Championship
Goldberg beat Angle
Captured WWF Championship

Who knows?
X-Pac unifying titles

It was a very interesting night for sure, I was shocked at how good Goldberg and Angle turned out to be honestly.

Yeah I guess overall match wise it was pretty even but title wise the ones that WWF got were bigger overall.

Exchanging World Titles is a wash but WWF got the IC, US and unified the Tag. All WCW got was the Hardcore.

Oh yeah, I definitely agree. WWF got the titles, but wCw left with RVD, Goldberg, and Sting winning their matches to finish out the show.

Either way both sides got their shots in...let's see how it progresses!

Eric Bishoff: Ladies, and gentlemen. I have been very quiet ever since this Invasion has started, and now that I have decided to get fully involved it is only a matter of time before we take over. Vince, you better say your goodbyes, and not take your company for granted much longer because The Alliance will take this place over here soon enough! We have the backing of your children, and hell I bet your wife would help us with your money after the divorce! We have the WWF Championship on Sting's waist, and you have Stone Cold on the injured list. Kurt Angle was an absolute idiot for coming to the ring tonight as we was clearly injured from his massacre of a match against Goldberg. And, we overall kicked your asses last night...you're welcome. Now, next week, we continue this domination. See you then, Vince.
