NBA 2K11 ASSOCIATION WISHLIST.
With the announcement that 2K are about to give out some details on the core game modes of NBA 2K11 I thought I would take the opportunity to make a list of what I'm hoping to see in the meat & gravy mode. Association.

Although 2K's big announcement this year is the inclusion of MJ, which I'm pleased to say seems much more than just a gimmick, for myself & many more gamers it will be what Association Mode brings to the table that will determine the long term appeal of 2K11.

Here's my list of hopeful changes for this year:-

1.) NBA D League - I want the same level of presentation in D League games as those in the top flight games. Notably in regards to the inclusion of commentary & cut scenes.

2.) Menu Presentation Upgrade - I am a great fan of the menu navigation system employed by 2K across their sports titles. However while the method is great the visuals are very bland.

3.) Weekly News Show - This could work really well with the NBA Today feature. Although highlights from other games is probably too big a ask, a Weekly Show reporting top games from the week, form players, injury news & the like would bring alot to the broadcast style approach NBA 2K11 aims for.

4.) Hot/Cold Player Tracking - Have a list of form players showing notable stats across the league.

5.) Game Summaries - When looking at other results from around the league rather than showing a full page of individual stats show just the notable statistics from the game.

6.) Score Updates - During breaks in the game you are playing have the commentators update you of any current games in progress.

7.) Revise Player Morale - Too many times I have players who have low morale because of lack of minutes per game only to have the players become excessively fatigued when floor time is increased.

8.) Full All Star Weekend Package

Their are probably other things that I have forgotten to mention but this will do for now. Let me know your thoughts.

So just putting this out there....does anyone think EA will release another PGA game or will it be a franchise, much like NASCAR that slips away? More importantly, if that is the case, who, if anyone will pick it up.

I know Golf Club ticks a lot of boxes for fans of the genre, but myself like many others enjoy the official licensing of a game due to its added authenticity.

I'm not too bothered if EA themselves continue with the PGA series as I think they've taken it ... Read More

Just picked up MXGP 2 for the XBOX ONE. Not a review but I would just like to say to anyone who may have any interest in this game to seriously check it out. I've played Motocross games for many years, not because I'm a fan of the sport but because I enjoy the fun racing of the game. MXGP 2 is easily the most fun & most complete simulation of the sport I've come across. Developers Milestone have a real penchant for 2 wheeled racers & this is a great example of their passion.

Just picked up F1 2014 for the Xbox 360.
Although my first go of this game has been very brief here are my 1st impressions.

Pros:-
Smooth Racing. Amongst the best in the genre.
Realistic AI.

Cons:-
Presentation is almost identical to F1 2013.

All in all as much as I enjoy this game it is hard to recommend a purchase for those who own F1 2013. We do have updated Driver Line-Ups & a couple of new tracks but unless you're a fan ... Read More

Just thought it would be nice to get some feedback on what Next Gen games you guys are getting the most from. In order of preference my choices are:-

1) Madden NFL 25 - Yes I know this game might not look as next gen as the other releases & is an obvious port from current gen but I'm just loving this game at the moment. It's one game that's retained its modes from current gen & plays the best game of console Football for a long time. Surely next year we will see the end of pre rendered ... Read More

On the surface Next Gen NBA 2K14 is a beautiful game that is very impressive to look at & play. Scratch beneath that surface & you have a product that is not quite right.

Badly designed Menus, Lack of Options & a far from ground breaking MyGM Mode are frustrating but for many it's the way 2K have suddenly found a deep love for paid for DLC.

I don't mind the concept of DLC if it's used to give you non-essential items like Player Equipment, but when it's used just so ... Read More

Had my XBOX ONE delivered yesterday with 3 Games. After spending a lengthy time installing the games to the HD (you have to do this) I have finally had a chance to sit down & check these games out. As great as these games look only Madden lets me play the game how I like to (Multiplayer Seasons Offline).
As for the others:-

FIFA - No longer includes Tournament Mode. Not everybody wants to play Onine!
Forza 5 - Never been interested with the games drawn out repetitive ... Read More

WRC 4 Demo now available to download on Xbox 360 (At least in the UK anyway).Really enjoying this game. Visually the best in the series with much crisper graphics & nice environments.
Personally I'm just happy to have a fully licensed rally game. It's not the best racing game out there, but with a limited budget the developers have done a great job.

Run a few races on the Moto GP 13 Demo and all in all I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Vastly more sim orientated than previous iterations of the series there's no doubt that Milestone have removed many of the arcade elements that gamers either loved or hated in the days when Capcom/Namco published the game. There are some nice Pre Race presentation elements that certainly add to the race day immersion although the 'commentary' appears to be as I expected, with jut a few lines spoken Pre & Post ... I'm sure it doesn't need pointing out to anyone that the number of sports games has progressively reduced in line with each recent console generation. Rare is it now when we have a choice of more than 1 game in any given sport.

Having just read an interview with a developer for the forthcoming Rugby Challenge 2 in which he highlights his doubts of being able to release such a game for the next generation of hardware, I can't help but be concerned that we are heading for a further implosion ... Read More
