There is no way the NFL would EVER allow a licensed game (aka Madden) to have blood in the game. That isn't EA, that's the NFL. Same reason Madden hasn't had unsportsmanlike penalties after the play is dead for years...

They would probably have to change it to Teen not all the way to mature. But honestly do you think it will have any dent in sales? I'd have to say, judging from the OVERWHELMING amount of kids who play Gears of Wars, I don't think it would have the slightest dent in sales if they gave this game a XXX rating.

I see your point, but do you think that 2k would want to change the rating from everyone to teen, for the sake of putting blood in the game? I think the risk for outweighs the reward.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

We know for sure that this game will have late hits, hard hits, injuries that you can see happening, and some sort of trash talking. The level of this language is still unclear, but the first three could automatically warrent a Teen rating.


EVERYONE
Titles rated E (Everyone) have content that may be suitable for ages 6 and older. Titles in this category may contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence and/or infrequent use of mild language.


EVERYONE 10+
Titles rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) have content that may be suitable for ages 10 and older. Titles in this category may contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.


TEEN
Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.


MATURE
Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.

We already know this game has late hits, violent hits, and injuries that you can see happening. Add in the language that will be heard on field, and the game may already have a Teen rating. I doubt we will see injured players laying in a pool of blood, because that isn't realistic, but definitely could see mild blood and the rating wouldn't need to change if the game is already Teen rated.

Man I cannot wait for this game, I am excited, I havent bought a Football games I bought were NFL 2k5 and Blitz the League. And I still have 2k5 till this day. Also, is ESPn NFL 2k5 Backwards Compatible?
