Walter Payton or Earl Campbell?

Earl Campbell ripped by defense rushing for 268 yards on 28 attempts. I gave up some big runs getting caught in nickel package. They had a gold receiver that I focused on and got burned by Earl Campbell a few times.
I picked Barry Sanders but I wished I had picked Earl Campbell and this is my choice.

I know. I am old enough to watch him play. I am talking about this game. Some guys here are avg 15 yards per carry.

1) agility/ acceleration (is Payton quicker or are they the same?)
2) speed (same question- is Payton faster or are they tied?)
3) and most importantly: SHOULDER CHARGING over defenders (how much better is Earl than Walter at this?)

1) agility/acceleration (Payton agility / Campbell acceleration)
2) Speed (Payton in a dead heat but initial speed ie acceleration Campbell imo)
3) Earl probably a 10/10 and Payton probably a 5 or 6/10 - For camparision purposes.

You have to focus on stopping the run if you see him in the backfield. You have to have a solid d-line and solid linebackers. Even more important is your playcalling. I guarantee they will not average 15 yards per carry against me, or even 5 yards per carry.

Once you figure it out, stopping the run is not that difficult. The only problem is that the pass can burn you a lot easier. Then again, maybe I have not played a person that is really great at running the ball.

Anyway, Earl really is a beast in this game (as he should be).

I've only played with Earl so i can't say who's better, but the guy seems unstoppable. I could never break tackles like this in 2k5 unless i played on rookie level.

I played against a buddy of mine who absolutely owns me. I doubt i even average 3 yards a carry against him, but with Earl I rushed for 115 yards on 13 carries and 3 td's. Needless to say I have to remind him daily about it now haha.

both are beasts but I played a guy online who abused my with Okoye My GAaaad he was just smashing us up the middle. Of course I had my offensive team for this game .

I won 14-7 by stopping him at the goal line with no time left. I took Ronnie Lott and came from the saftey position. on the snap. he was barreling through two of my linemen and Crack !!! he falls at the .5 yardline. LOL

but before that I just couldn't stop the guy.
