I'm about done with EA football. I really hope this game is awesome and blows away EA. By the way when does the NFL license run out for EA?

I tend to agree, just allow us to have a ton of options to set up seasons & franchises, tons of legends, and editable rosters. i could care less about recreating the nfl, but i would like to be able to become submersed in the fictious league.

Re: APF2k9 is confirmed

Now I'm a super football head and 2k5 was my isht, but i had to play madden this year, because i couldnt deal with the legends players. I need authentic rosters, and I couldn't deal with switching back and forth between playing APF with the awesome gameplay and retired characters and jonesing for real rosters and going back to madden cartoonery so I just play madden, although sometimes it's just too much for me to bear and I sit and cry with my controller in my hand. But APF didn't have a franchise/season mode??? am I reading this wrong, was it just for exhibition games? Man i hate EA...

Re: APF2k9 is confirmed

Found some more info about APF next year.

Quote:
On the 2K Sports front, the publisher said the label will turn a profit for the first time in fiscal 2009, and addressed the future of its All-Pro Football franchise. Despite sluggish sales, Take-Two intends to ship it again next year, "although we are looking at it carefully." Specifically, the company is looking at different price points and release dates as potential ways to make it more successful than this year's installment.

So it looks as if next years game may be cheaper to get more people to buy it. Looks like it will be the same thing they did with NFL2k5.
