So looking at the player editing in retrospect, I need to find a more convenient way of knowing which player I'm looking at before I can edit them. Let's say I've got Peyton Manning, #18. Let's figure out what I know:
Player #: 18x2 is 36 decimal = 24 hex.
Position: QB = 00 hex
Abilities:
-Signal Stealer (00 from right / 80 hex),
-Pocket Presence (5 from right / 40 hex),
-Play Fake (9 from right / 40 hex)
Shoes/Star: Shoe color 1 as gold star (02 hex)
I know other details, like his face, but because we don't know how that translates to hex, it's useless. Combining what I know then, I have to look for a player out of the +100 or so sharing all those above bolded numbers. Problem is because the numbers are spaced out, I can't do a find/search on all of the numbers (right?), and searching for just one set of numbers is impractical.
My questions then: Are the hex-edited players all organized by team then? You mentioned the first players are the Scorpions. That doesn't really help us though if we're searching for our custom players to edit or players on other teams, as their seemingly is no rhyme or reason to the team order.
Would you recommend I don't bother searching for a specific player and simply change any hex player on the list into a custom player, then edit him into Peyton Manning from in-game? (What a hassle that would be though having to recreate my entire roster).
Just to clarify, so the final player ends on C:7C00'ish? Seems that way, as the grouped FF FF FF FF FF...'s stop showing up.
Finally, I'm confused what you mean by the blue column. What does 05 06 represent then? If it purely represents availability, then what does a non-available player represent? If we can figure that out, then that might be a red flag that it's a custom player, since only custom players can be non-available. From there, it's a simple matter of mass searching 05 06 (or whatever custom represents) in-between d180 - C:7C00'ish.

The created players start at a certain point in the file. Around 829F0.
This is all we have for bow so it's either edit it like is or no way at all.
