Re: How to edit All Pro Football

Been trying to edit created players since yesterday.
Still can't find the FO/F1 anywhere.
Been looking in the 8200 number wise.
I'm using Hex Workshop too.
Could it be because I never downloaded the patch?

Player #: 18x2 is 36 decimal = 24 hex.
Position: QB = 00 hex
Abilities:
-Signal Stealer (00 from right / 80 hex),
-Pocket Presence (5 from right / 40 hex),
-Play Fake (9 from right / 40 hex)
Shoes/Star: Shoe color 1 as gold star (02 hex)

I know other details, like his face, but because we don't know how that translates to hex, it's useless. Combining what I know then, I have to look for a player out of the +100 or so sharing all those above bolded numbers. Problem is because the numbers are spaced out, I can't do a find/search on all of the numbers (right?), and searching for just one set of numbers is impractical.

My questions then: Are the hex-edited players all organized by team then? You mentioned the first players are the Scorpions. That doesn't really help us though if we're searching for our custom players to edit or players on other teams, as their seemingly is no rhyme or reason to the team order.

Would you recommend I don't bother searching for a specific player and simply change any hex player on the list into a custom player, then edit him into Peyton Manning from in-game? (What a hassle that would be though having to recreate my entire roster).

Just to clarify, so the final player ends on C:7C00'ish? Seems that way, as the grouped FF FF FF FF FF...'s stop showing up.

Finally, I'm confused what you mean by the blue column. What does 05 06 represent then? If it purely represents availability, then what does a non-available player represent? If we can figure that out, then that might be a red flag that it's a custom player, since only custom players can be non-available. From there, it's a simple matter of mass searching 05 06 (or whatever custom represents) in-between d180 - C:7C00'ish.
The created players start at a certain point in the file. Around 829F0.
This is all we have for bow so it's either edit it like is or no way at all.

That F0 doesn't show up all the time. Disregard it.

Ok, gonna download the patch sometime today & then try to do this again after.
BTW-ATM I'm just trying to make all 11 created players golds.
I'm new to Hex editing. So I'm starting small.
When I get more comfortable I'll try to edit more.
Now if I could just find the right numbers....
Also thanks for all those who have been helpful.

Re: How to edit All Pro Football

Does anyone know how to get 010 Editor to not show offset numbers to the far-left? What I mean is I want the left-most numbers to look like CatCatch's:

Re: How to edit All Pro Football

If someone makes a league using this method everyone else could download their file and using the rehasher make it compatible for their xbox. Is someone willing to take the time to make a league for the rest of us?

Pardon my stupidity....but essentially when it's all said and done, we're talking about making 32+ unique teams with ALL (22) starters, not just 11 + generics??

Yeah editing rosters sucks... Usually lotta work... Downloading them is much better.

Would be nice to see someone bust out a flippin' sweet roster to revive this game.
